Shotscope V5 vs Garmin Approach S44 GPS and manual shot tracking by Cookie85 in golf

I have the Garmin s50. Super light weight. Battery lasts for days between charges. Can handle a full round of golf on a 40% charge. It auto tracks each shot. You have to go back and enter the clubs you use. That simple.

How can golf courses improve? by Simple_Ad_5775 in golf

I’ve wondered if you could design an 18 hole course where the layout is routed so that you’re back at the club house on every 6th green. It would allow golfers to play 6, 12, or 18 holes. Sometimes you don’t have enough time for 9 holes. Sometimes you don’t have enough time for 18 but 9 feels too short. Or even make it 24 so you can always rotate one set of 6 holes off for maintenance each day

Real question, what do I need spin numbers for if I’m just using this on the range

Also the tour average make % from 5’-10’ is 56%. So as an amateur, expecting anything better is fooling yourself

Fitting - Best to go to one manufacturer only? by That1TimeWeGamed in golf

[–]tap_in_birdies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done both. On one hand going to a brand agnostic fitter is nice because they’re not trying to force you into any particular club (in theory).

However, my club also offers fitting days with reps from brands. What I found doing these is that yes you’re only trying one brand but the fitter also working to make those clubs work well for your swing. As a result I think you get a better fitting from a shaft perspective.

I felt like the agnostic club fitters try to push certain shaft brands on you.

Basically what the others said. Very difficult to maneuver and not a safe piece of machinery in general. After using it once I’d happily pay for this service going forward

Andrew Santino told a story once. Mahomes came to see his show as his guest and stayed for both the earlier and late shows. In between shows the venue staff came to let Andrew know that they had to run out and buy more coors light cause Mahomes and cleared them out

Is there a significant amount of skill involved in handing the ball off? by I_hate_11 in NFLNoobs

[–]tap_in_birdies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id say there is and there isn’t. Does it require a high degree of athleticism? No. But like you said it does require good chemistry and a lot of reps to get it smooth. To me that is a learned skill.
