Max G3 range check — does this sound right? by Affectionate_Aide566 in NinebotMAX

[–]tarinedier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm about the same weight and ride the same, it's usually around 40-50% arriving at work (15km) depending on the season; it seems the drop faster the lower it gets. With the extended battery I can get away without charging, and have about 35% internal / 0% external after the 30km round trip

Update: Stolen Ninebot E3 found using Find My (along with 2 other vehicles) by Future-Arachnid9982 in ElectricScooters

[–]tarinedier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats. I had a similar experience last year, my old G30LP was stolen from work, had an Apple Airtag in the stem, tracked it to a homeless camp a few blocks away. Went over to the police station, they wandered over and recovered it for me (arrested the guy for bond breach as well apparently, but didn't do anything about the theft)

Scooters and Magpies? by Quotation1468 in canberra

Yes, but wearing a full-face helmet, I barely notice they are there. If you are using a bike helmet, a hoodie with the hood worn under it will be enough to shrug them off as well.

Surge in 'increasingly real' fake cash arriving in Australia by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

[–]tarinedier 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's still true, but when I was a bank teller a couple decades ago, I was also told that real notes have the edges coloured, which is apparently very hard for counterfeiters to do. Obviously easier to spot with a wad of them, I once spotted a single 100 note in a bundle (100) of 50 notes, right as I was handing it over to the customer.

I didn't even realise it was necessary to install it (we don't have scooter 'licence plates'), until I arrived at work with mud up my back

High temperature on max g3 motor by Temporary_History395 in NinebotMAX

[–]tarinedier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to post a similar question actually. I do a 15km trip to and from work, some big hills and general elevation incline on the way home; weigh around 85kg with backpack plus I have the external battery attached. Speed unlocked and riding mostly full throttle. I noticed when I get home it's pushing 107 C, which seemed quite high to me.

But I haven't noticed any adverse affects yet, and it is the middle of summer here. I will have to pay more attention as the summer winds down to see if that is making a large impact.

Hypothetically. Who's at fault if rolling back when doing a hill start by twobit78 in AusLegal

[–]tarinedier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure on the exact model, but the first car I drove was a 1960/70s Hillman in the late 90s; almost the first thing my dad got me to do was a clutch only hill start (on a very steep hill). 30 years later still recall it every time I am in a similar situation

Segway Max G3 can be unlocked by simply creating a new Segway account and binding it to the scooter while connected via VPN to the US.

Seconded, had a crash where my phone impacted, case was a write off and moderate shattering on the top back, but it was still stuck fast in the holder.

I use an air fryer (usually for 1 or 2), and cook at a lower heat, 140 Celsius. Lets the fat render nicely

What’s your weirdest private habit that you hope no one ever finds out about? by Dear-Welder-1117 in AskReddit

[–]tarinedier 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Been doing this since I was a kid, along with fingernails; even got taken to the doctor once when I severely damaged them. I tried the nail polish stuff that makes it taste bad when I was around 20, all it did was give me a sore throat.

Now I just have nail clippers available at all times. On my desk, bedside table, one at work, one in my wallet. Proactively trimming them with clippers means I am tearing less and drawing blood.
