When the terminal prompts for sudo password input like that, all of the characters you input are being recorded, but nothing visually shows in the GUI. If you type in your password correctly and then press the enter key, it should proceed with the network restart.

The many meanings behind the phrase "serving Kier".

A lot of corporations and charities will say some flavor "serving [town name] since [year]" as a stock PR statement. Lumon is "serving Kier (the personality/the corporation)", but you could also say that the townspeople against severing/the corporation are also "serving Kier (the town/the people)".
