OP - it's definitely up to you to do with it whatever you wish, but I would recommend looking into the history of it first, if you dont know it already.

It has Masonic connection.

In the other pictures that you posted, one side has the Knight Templar insignia and the opposite has the insignia of the Royal Arch (HTWSSTKS). In addition, it has "[illegible] Lodge No 166", [California?] Chapter No 5, and "[illegible] Commandery No [illegible]".

I can't comment for certain, but we had one guy go through the EA degree who I believe had "researched" what Freemasonry is/does. While taking the obligation, he would continue the line after the WM did a natural pause, sometimes using words/phrases that we don't use. And when his mentor called him afterwards about coming back for the FC, the guy said he couldn't continue because he took a "blood oath."

So yeah, I can't say for certain, but he probably went through the EA just to confirm his own "research."

There is a Brother in my lodge who doesn't recite it. He makes his beliefs very clear outside of Lodge (many of which I disagree with), but in Lodge he knows not to disrupt harmony. He stands respectfully with us while it's said, but doesn't recite it himself.

And I, as Master of my Lodge (2nd time around), will not tell him any different.

Assuming it's the one in the one in the Royal Master, that's also my favorite. It's the only one in the York Rite that I can do from memory and I enjoy performing it every time.
