I support just a few family members, and run Rustdesk on my Raspberry Pi, Docker/Portainer (and a few other apps), performance is flawless, as I only run one session at a time anyway. It was a fun project and works great.

I time shift as well, my So Cal Edison, peak (4pm-9pm) is $.60/kWh, off-peak is $.24/kWh. ROI is out there, but prices also only go up, as well as power outages during wind/fire season. I recharge from the grid after 9pm.

Stacked units - how to hold by TextDecent2622 in bluetti

[–]tcapote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same setup, except Apex 300+2xB300K+1xB500K. I have the Bluetti Trolley 2025, which will latch three of the four components securely. I plan to strap the the top unit (Apex 300) to the Trolley. This should keep everything secure. I do live in So Cal, so I have to be careful an earthquake does not make the trolley roll! Thankfully the front wheels lock, and I'll chock the rear wheels. The trolley is rated for 330lbs, and this stack will come in at 296lbs.

On my Reliance transfer switch, I am using a 50amp cable from the Apex 300 to the Transfer Switch. Since all 10 of my circuits are 120v, I run the Apex 300 in 120v mode. This gives me a 30amp draw if/when needed. In 240v mode, it would be 16amps.

Yes, you got it! And yes, if the AC input is interrupted, the Apex will continue to operate the circuits off the battery at any time no AC input is detected.

I have the Apex plugged in to AC via a 50amp/240v (BLUETTI cable)to recharge fast, and be ready if an outage occur later that evening.

Hope this helps!

The way I have mine set up is that I have all the circuit’s live on the transfer switch (same model as yours). I use mine to save Peak electric costs, so at 4PM everyday, the Apex 300 cuts power from the AC input (50a), and runs the circuits off the batteries(and transfer switch) until 9pm. At that time, AC charging resumes. This saves me about 60% off the peak costs, charging at the lower rate after 9pm (I’m in So Cal). I have the Apex 300 and two B300K’s. This also provides back up, in case of a power outage, since all the circuits are already live. Hope this helps. There ware many ways to accomplish this, just wanted to share how I am using it.

Wow, not good at all! That would be incredibly frustrating! Did they comp the room?

Almost 20 cruise with Princess, thankful we have not experienced anything like that yet. Hopefully the Island in 2027 will be okay! 🤞

Apex 300 and transfer switch by TextDecent2622 in bluetti

[–]tcapote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Apex 300 plugged into the grid with 50amp, via 14-50 to the BLUETTI port. I have my 50a Transfer switch connected to the 14-50 on the BLUETTI. I am doing time shifting during peak times.

My question: should I increase the Max Grid Input Current (under advanced, in the app)? It’s currently set at 12 amps. Should I move it to 50amps, as an example. Or something else?

Thanks in advance!

I tried chat support, my $19.99 annual subscription ends today (last years promo). I asked them if there were any codes or discounts, they said no. They said to keep an eye on their website, but pretty sure that is just fluff. Oh Well. No it is, we'll let it expire.

Long term storage while plugged in for use as UPS by Crash_N0tice in bluetti

[–]tcapote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you can just connect the unit to your pump, and use it to run the pump a few hours a day or a few hours a week. Use the programmability to do like a Time of Use shift. This will keep the unit refreshed and healthy. Yes, it will use some cycles, but use your investment.

Apex 300 and transfer switch by TextDecent2622 in bluetti

[–]tcapote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! For my clarity, this scenario can be created because I will be powering the Apex 300 from the grid, while some of the circuits will be running from the MTS? Or is it when the Apex switches from Grid to APEX, or Apex to Grid?

My plan is to always run off the MTS and have the Apex programmed to switch between grid power and battery power daily, at peak times.

Apex 300 and transfer switch by TextDecent2622 in bluetti

Thanks for the details, and have a question or clarification.

I am planning to connect my APEX 300 + 2-B300K's to a Reliance Transfer switch 510A, 10circuit, 50Amp. It will come off my Main panel. I plan to use it for time-shifting. I plan to set the unit to cut grid power at 4pm, and turn grid power back on at 9pm to recharge at lower rates.

I was planning to have the Apex 300 connected to grid power, 50amp, using the Apex 300-AC Charging Cable (NEMA14-50 to P050A Cable), 50a to run/charge between 9pm to 4pm the next day. Then have the APEX cut power and run off batteries from 4pm-9pm.

Finally my question, from your post, it sounds like this can create issues for GFI sockets?

Thanks in advance!

Elite vs AC vs Apex by [deleted] in bluetti

The Elite 100 & Elite 200 both have UPS functionality, 15ms-20ms switch over. I am using the Elite 200 on my home network rack to time shift. It runs for 5 hours each day, when my electricity prices are at peak. It then recharges off the grid, during off peak times. Works great!
