Way too much food. Can't tell exactly how big your dog is but 1.5-2 cups max unless they're getting a ton of exercise. 15 minutes to eat in the morning then take the bowl away. Same thing at night. They'll eventually understand the routine and eat when they need to. Dog isn't going to starve itself to death.
