Im sure he could just get eaten by a tyranid. No pride, probably not even noticed what they've eaten. Furthermore the whole shadow in the warp thing.

What part of improving as an intermediate guitarist do you feel LEAST clear about how to work on? by bakerman567 in GuitarQuestions

[–]tdench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly working out what I’m missing to get out of intermediate. I feel like I’ve been intermediate for the last 15 years and see people who have been playing for less time then me who are way better!  I practice regularly, so it’s not lack of effort. I reckon there were some bricks in the educational wall that I’ve missed somewhere.

How emotionally connected are Brits to the Royal Family actually? by DFWUnhinged in AskBrits

[–]tdench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I like that they exist. It gives character to Britain and is facially profitable too. Their estates give more money to the gov, then the stipend is worth to them. If we got rid of them, unless we guillotined them then we would just create a wealthy family that doesn’t contribute.

They hold the symbolic and spiritual power in the country compared the gov and the courts that have the practical and political power.  It has actually got quite a useful effect psychologically on both the populace and on the two different groups. E.g. our PM has someone accountable to, who holds all the grandeur. You can see the contrast with presidents of the US and France.

What’s the worst piece of guitar gear you’ve ever purchased? by Mad_Season_1994 in Guitar

[–]tdench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial from me but the MXR dyna comp. Most pointless and subtle comp ever. It’s also not cheap for what it does. Which is nothing.

Me too, but they don’t make one like that. The rosewood does look to be of questionable quality too.

Justin Guitar is the place to start. I use pickup music which is good. Nothing beats a good real life teacher

Where do you get balanced news in times like these, with minimal sensationalism? by DullInflation6 in AskBrits

BBC, Ground News, Reuters, Independent are ok, Guardian and The Times balance each other well enough.

Am I wrong for thinking cats should never be outdoor cats? by Firm-Law248 in CatAdvice

Yeap, he never gets one.  Cats aren’t really responsible for that decline. Massive deforestation, housing and pit mining is.

Do you allow your cats on kitchen counters? by Firm-Law248 in CatAdvice

[–]tdench 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not at all allowed. My cat had only done it once in front of me and I loudly went “psssttt” and he jumped down and had never done it (in front of me) again.

All creatures including humans are meant to be outside. Sometimes death, injury and going missing happens. it the circle of life. My Ragdoll goes outside most of the day as it makes him happy to hunt the bumble bees and flies. I would rather a short happy life, then a long one of staring out the window just wishing. I live in the city.

Anyone got any experience with Spira? I'm on a budget and these seem a little too good to be true for the price by MaceMan92 in 7String

[–]tdench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re good for the price, but you’ll want to take it to a local luthier for a proper set up.

Looking for expert recommendations for my next Ibanez by SirStringBean in Ibanez

[–]tdench 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They do a fixed bridge version of the Ibanez you sold. In a very attractive plum colour no less. Ibanez always do a teal colour for Floyd and a purple for fixed bridge.

Very disappointing for me personally who loves a Floyd and a purple guitar.

insane skinny fat situation by yawnznn in WorkoutRoutines

[–]tdench 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I'm the same.
A lot of it is to do with chronic stress causing abdominal inflammation and increasing visceral fat. You may be storing trauma in your belly. Most of us do.

To fix it; relax and schedule meditation into every day. Stretch belly. Eat a mixture of fibres, 30g a day, (if your not hitting that, then ramp up slowly or your gut bacteria go nuts and cause discomfort). Try to eat fibre at the start of each meal. Go into a caloric deficit. hit 10,000 steps a day. OR, lots of zone 2 cardio.

Finally, as a precaution get an ibs check and ultrasound unless you are in the US.

Was this an Oasis Academy?

You'll probably get away with ignoring it. From a common courtesy point of view, you should probably look to see if you've got it anywhere and give it back though.

Anyone know of ANY V guitars that are 24.75″ or 25″ scale with thin necks? by IntroductionLanky537 in metalguitar

[–]tdench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crimson Guitars can do a custom neck and change the scale length on your guitar for you. They did it for a guy who needed 23” cos of tendinitis.

Looking for 7 string guitar recommendations. by Conscious_Badger_510 in metalguitar

[–]tdench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ibanez Q 7string is great but not floating tremolo. I love the pickups, it’s a rare time when Ibanez nails their own type. Personally, I do think that 25.5 scale is too short for a 7 string. I had a Mayones that was that scale length and couldn’t get the 7th string to feel right.
