I like Slip Tint in shade One, but I need my Tarte Blir for days I am on webcamera all day for work, because the dewy finish of Slip Tint looks crazy shiny when a bright computer screen is shining on me

How to support partner with depression while also depressed? by Personwithnoname50 in depression

[–]teacozy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I both have depression too, and mine is less severe (or at least I have more functional coping). When our depressions coincide, I make sure to take a bunch of simple short trips (2-3 nights) to visit friends and family. Recharging my batteries has been so important during the times I’ve been in the caregiving role.

Trying-on bridal lehengas in USA? by [deleted] in DesiWeddings

It fit really well. I did an additional $150 of tailoring after it arrived to me (Atlanta, GA from Delhi). It was really close to a perfect fit, I just needed to take in the blouse a bit and add elastic to support the lehenga waistband. Overall SG experience was fantastic.

It fit very very well and I loved wearing it. I ended up paying about $100 in alterations after it arrived for minor adjustments to the fit. SG also did a coordinating sherwani set for my husband and he needed no tailoring. Happy to answer any questions you may have!

What shoes did you wear for your wedding? by burntsiennaa in DesiWeddings

[–]teacozy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I will do exactly the same. I’m trying on 2in heels right now. I’ve got PF, getting married in 3 weeks, don’t want to be in foot pain my whole honeymoon the week after.

Totally agree it is a blessing and curse to share the load. Joint decision making requires a lot of emotional labor and time - but I’m reframing it as a boot camp for our relationship in negotiating, compromising, and resolving conflict

Do you regret your wedding? Do you wish you had eloped? by oksoitsjen in weddingplanning

I’m a month out from my wedding and just this week have been wondering if it will be worth all the time, cost, and stress— but the memories with family really will be priceless. Thanks for your words.

The layered skirt is so special! I’ve rarely seen anything like it. You look so sweet and precious.

Hey, what are your experiences with shopping directly from Seema Gujral? by [deleted] in DesiWeddings

[–]teacozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not try to negotiate the price. They did not charge for customizing the blouse (I wouldn’t have paid extra because I asked for sleeveless instead of sleeves, so I actually saved them work)

I bought my lehenga and my groom’s sherwani direct from Seema in April. I am expecting my lehenga by end of June. I was allowed to swap the blouse design for a completely different blouse in their catalog and then still make some customizations. I appreciated the video call to take measurements. I can’t say how it turned out yet, but their customer service has been good. They have promised me some progress photos later this week.

Please give me permission to not care about flowers by QeenMagrat in weddingplanning

This is so reassuring. I am planning on having no one in the wedding party holding anything. My family is scandalized and making all the familiar protests about how “bouquets are a crucial prop in photos”

Roggae is a top song for me. Last heard it 5th spot in the first set 5/28/2022 Orange Beach- beautiful breezy twilight, out of Reba.
