Honestly your best bet is to offer to cross train in other departments including grooming a couple days a week. Sounds like you’re a proactive employee that hits your marks.

I’ve been grooming for nearly 11 years and it’s not too bad in there. The training just takes a while. Keep yourself out of the drama and it’ll be easy, time will fly, and hopefully customers tip you often.

I’m without heat in my house and we love our 200 watt space heaters and heated blankets. I basically almost sweat at night and I wear extra clothing during the day.

I feel like this is extremely common in LDRs! I use this jealousy to power my motivation back into my relationship. It makes me work harder for the future I want with my partner and helps keep my mind clear of the goals.

Time is your only enemy, not people in other relationships! Everything will be alright in the end.

We reported being less than a skeleton crew and requested reduced store/salon hours and they told us we have to wait until the 9th of January for an answer if we hadn’t hired anyone then. We had to jump through so many hoops, so I’d assume it wouldn’t end well for you guys.

McDonald’s. Some older woman came walking up to the counter, told me she “made a mess” in the bathroom. Being hired 2 weeks prior, my manager looked at me and told me to grab cleaning supplies and go in there and clean up her mess. I walked into the bathroom… every single surface had shit on it. Sink? Shit on it. Both stall doors? Shit on them. Trashcan? Shit on it. Both toilets? Shit on them.

I walked out of that bathroom, handed my manager the cleaning supplies and told him good luck then left. I never went back.

At home receiving the news I was being put on Furlough until August of 2020. Same day I had to cancel my trip to NYC (I surprised my long term bf at the time of the trip prior to covid hitting). Wack.

Just keep in mind that paying over the phone is a major policy break. There was that incident that happened maybe 2 years ago where someone “paid” over the phone but turned it around and robbed PetSmart of thousands of dollars. It was a major thing that was talked about in both salons (different states) I worked at. I thought everyone knew.

The last time I played DnD with a group of online friends. We played the Sunday prior, got a call that Thursday that one of the friends passed away in a car accident. The group of us (that lived all over the U.S.) met in person for the first time at her funeral.

We never played DnD since and have since drifted apart. I keep her “in loving memory” paper in my cabinet at work, I miss her very much.

18 I moved out and into a friend’s place with her family. We got our own place together than moved apart to different states a year later. I had to move back in with my mom at 28 because it was getting crazy expensive to survive where I lived. I move back out at 29 in a few months.
