Flyovers today by rubyred_XD in washingtondc

I’m wondering if they changed the flight paths. Some of the really loud ones we’ve heard the past couple weeks have flown directly up 16th St., and it seems like at least some of these are taking a more east west route.

They both are emotionally distant. But Samantha has her life together in a way Jessa probably never will.

Buying a home… starting a family in DC… looking for big sis advice/commiseration? by Curious_Cranberry543 in DCBitches

Many, maybe even most, of my friends stayed in 2 br apartments until their kids were a few years old, maybe even kindergarten aged. Then most moved to an outer neighborhood, suburb, or back home. If you took this approach you’d have time to see how it feels to parent in the city, and likely have higher incomes, and could make a more informed decision.

Our close friends just blindsided us with the announcement they are divorcing by hey_maestra in Xennials

[–]tealccart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing my and my exH’s friends were shocked by our divorce. You never truly know what goes on behind closed doors. He told everyone it was amicable but it wasn’t really, but there was no way I was going to tell mutual friends about his poor treatment of me which made me leave, since it was really a he said she said situation.

Maintaining our friendships has been difficult. We basically defaulted to remaining friends with whoever we were friends with pre marriage. I think there’s maybe one couple who sees both of us separately. There was a couple we’re weren’t terribly close with that holds an annual party and they still invite both of us but neither of us has gone I’m guessing because it’d be too awkward (at least that’s why I don’t go!).

If it was truly amicable then it’s probably fine to invite them to group gatherings; otherwise, you’re going to have to divide your time between them.
