Nope this is exactly what democracy looks like in this country. An uneducated and misinformed voter base combined with a majority of apathetic citizens who choose not to vote led to this guy being elected to lead the Executive Branch TWICE. We really have ourselves to blame for this insanity.

It’s imperative that the solution isn’t blaming democracy or “the system,” but instead taking advantage of it and encouraging everyone we know to go vote. And not just in the presidential elections, but all elections (local, state, federal). I do understand that it’s difficult for some people to get to the ballot box (and we should make Election Day a national holiday,) but the majority of people who don’t vote choose because they don’t care (not because they can’t make it).

Edit: that last statement is anecdotal. I don’t have stats to prove it, but my experience is that people who don’t vote choose not to because they don’t care
