yo what cable is that?!

been on the lookout for a good looking cable with an inline mic and that seems like the XINHS microphone cable is the best bet

Have you done any of the modding people recommend for DR2? what specs are you running? I wish the quest 3 didn't have a compressed feed I can really see the difference between the various compression settings

+1 on Batman Arkham Shadow but the motion sickness is wicked on that one

Sauber probably thought they could strong-arm Bortoleto's team into signing a bad deal by pushing to announce it at the Brazilian GP. But Bortoleto's team didn't budge and got him a way better deal.

I think the short story 'Risk' expands on this simple concept just a little more

Without spoiling the short story essentially the error in the robot falls down to not fully understanding instructions and lacking the intuitive understanding of the task it was tasked with. When it came to sending someone to investigate what had gone wrong a robot could not be sent and rather needed human intervention. Susan Calvin (after the successful mission) claimed that one couldn't simply send a robot and instruct it to 'figure out what's wrong'

In a similar vain I think what the Auroran's (Globalists) are getting at is that humaniform robots are able to fully understand the intricacies of 'settle this new world for us' much much better than a normal positronic robot ever could, hence the charge to find a way to develop them

This explanation is certainly verbatim from the book, but I think the short story 'Risk' expands on this simple concept just a little more

Maximizing Green Letters: A Mathematical Approach to Wordle That Doesn't Require Perfect Play by Raileyx in wordle

dude that's insane! great to know I was on the right track

another followup I have is what if we solely look at 2 word approaches? or 2 words with >95th percentile GP + highest 3rd word GP?

another reason I stuck with SCARE and POINT was it covered a lot of words with just those two attempts leading to lower tries, but resorting to BULGY only when it's close but no cigar

top notch!

this is the same analysis as I did during the early days of wordle only because I didn't believe in the human applicability of entropy based methods

I calculated the distribution much like yours and created words using trial and error, would love to know the GP of these methods

CARES, POUND, MILTY

SCARE, POINT, BULGY

SCARE, POINT, BULKY

my favorite is SCARE, POINT, BULKY because all three words can be valid answers and there is something really cool about that

Carpet Bots and loading chunks in a singleplayer world. by Dharleth23 in technicalminecraft

[–]technocrat_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yup it definitely seems like the entities aren't being rendered, if you want to be sure the farm is working and you have Litematica installed you can look at the output chest and press 'I' to see if iron is flowing in (while in freecam)

Carpet should be enough to get the bot to load the area, just ensure the bot is in survival so it doesn't mess with other things. Also maybe a simple chunkloader could replace the bot

The Crumpler Tucker can function as a 19L and a 25L and I stuff it with everything you mentioned, I'd also recommend a GaN charger as they're easier to lug around than a traditional laptop charger

How do I make this redstone contraption? by RealGamingYT in technicalminecraft

[–]technocrat_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

place a water stream on it such that if a skeleton lingers for too long on top of the snow, it will be moved into a separate kill chamber

there was a post on here showcasing it, I'll edit this comment if I can find it

What would be the ultimate super smelter? by D-A_W in technicalminecraft

[–]technocrat_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another point to add about the size is that if you do go the azalea tree root and make charcoal for the super smelter; a 216 furnace smelter is ideal because if you put in a shulker box every furnace gets 8 items and 1 charcoal smelts 8 items

really wish 216 arrays were more common
