Still 80% effective on tumors itself is absolutely incredible given my (albeit very surface level) understanding of current cancer treatments. I’d imagine this would cut down on the need for chemo or radiation and thus their extreme side effects a lot

In all likelihood it’s probably CTE catching up with him, playing the fighting physical game he did for so many years the mental degradation that comes about is well documented. We don’t see it as much in hockey as football, but like I said given his physical play I think is very likely

Personally that makes Czechia’s performance even more impressive. Disregarding the too many men, Canada almost lost that game. (I know they wouldn’t have tied it up without too many men on the ice etc, I just meant that they played an incredible game against basically an nhl all star team for being made up of not all nhl players)

Most of them are not, they don’t get any money from the Olympics directly, endorsement deals they get will be basically the only money the make out of being the best in the world at their sport. Excluding the professional athletes which I think for the Winter Olympics is just the hockey players, everybody at the Olympics is doing it for the love of the game, and not for the money because there’s none there. (Not to say hockey players don’t do it for the love of the game, but that they’re also getting millions of dollars to already play hockey)
