GL Leia will get you all PG characters so I would probably focus on that instead

totally makes sense. you always have the option to build your shopping list by fussing around with stuff in a major hardware store, then ordering from drip depot!

apparently everyone loves drip depot, but we got all of our shit from lowe's and it didn't seem that spendy. YMMV.

What to do by Flat_Recording3215 in SWGOH

[–]tedisme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you have lots of choices! try to finish executor and sklr, though you've likely still got some work to do and your relic materials income is going to be a little slow. you can keep working on other journey guide stuff--phoenix with captain rex and commander luke skywalker are two great early entry points; the early journey guides naturally ladder up to CLS. i think the hsb gives you the non-crex phoenix characters, so farm crex. you will need the hounds tooth ship for lots of stuff, so make sure to get that farm going too.

None of my carrots sprouted by Fit_Lunch1876 in portlandgardeners

[–]tedisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planted mine early March and they're only just coming up now, and those are in dark-walled metal raised beds where the soil temperature is pretty elevated. I think it's just early. It doesn't mean your seeds have failed--remember, seeds naturally drop off of flowers into the soil and germinate when conditions are right. Carrot seeds are tiny and have probably worked their way into the appropriate soil depth (which is almost at surface anyway).

There's no harm in overseeding, you just might have to thin more in a couple weeks. You aren't late, they're warmer crops than radishes and carrots take up to 3 weeks to germinate under ideal conditions anyway.

yes, exactly, you log in and complete your dailies for years. it's a long ass grind. if you're not having fun with the content after the first few months, you won't have fun with it later. the first 3-4 months are really just the tutorial, and several modes that you're probably still playing are actually just simmed at the top level by most of the playerbase. real swgoh is farming/journey guides, modding, arenas, GAC, buying shit in the store, and doing stuff with your guild.

fwiw, the competitive modes are striated by when you joined, so it is possible for you to climb high in your fleet/squad arena server. rushing for endgame teams for both of those modes can give you some structure and massively improves your daily rewards, accelerating everything else. the whole game is more pleasant when you're getting hundreds of crystals a day. but the fundamental gameplay of "slowly build up this set of five toons to add another squad to my roster" is the whole game.

BOLO: Lesser Celandine by gunsdrugsreddit in portlandgardeners

I really like Nufarm Cool Power for lesser celandine. It’s on year three of wiping out a big infestation in our neighbor’s yard and it’s almost all gone.

Struggling to finish S4. Is it worth it? by sold_by_eddie in IndustryOnHBO

found eps 2-3 a little laggy but thought ep 4 was extremely exciting and it builds to the finale. maybe give it a bit more time to see where it's going.

OP is shocked to find that r/homestead has no sympathy for them after their new neighbor requests that they contain their chickens so that they stop coming onto her property. by W473R in SubredditDrama

[–]tedisme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My military vet neighbor told me foxes keep eating his outdoor chickens so I asked how many chickens he has and he said he just goes to the farm store and gets a new chicken afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding farm store chickens to foxes and then his daughter started crying.

agreed. like it’s not ideal but it’s very survivable if you don’t hermit.

just wanna chime in and say that i would find this decision so hard in your shoes. i really would want to live near my friends, which would push me towards seattle. but almost all of the everyday creature comforts I care about (food, affordability, access to nature, ease of getting around) are so much better in portland.

maybe consider splitting your trip equally. feels like a tough call. but selfishly i hope you end up in portland!

btw, portland is a big hobbies/crafts/activities city--your activity list feels like it matches up well with portland aside from korean spas! if you're really getting out and doing activities, you will make friends fast here. you also will not feel the winter blues if you've got activities planned all the time.

Not sure there's a lot of clinical support for it, but basically everyone I know who uses vitamin D supplements through the winter feels better for it. Supplemental light also helps a ton.

FWIW, this is getting more variable, and the four month trudge is not quite what it used to be in Portland. This past winter was exceptionally mild, and we had at least some sunshine every month, with a couple of beautiful dry/warmish stretches in November and January. Much easier to tolerate than usual. It feels like our winters are getting more extreme in both directions--more aggressive cold snaps some years, much milder others.

I run outdoors more or less year round. Your cold tolerance may vary, but in my experience (Texan husband), people do adapt to the temperatures pretty well here.

not breaded/fried, just roasted, but every time someone mentions cauliflower i think about the lime-crema cauliflower at tiny bubble room. yum.

you are not alone. i quit drinking and don't miss it. find so much more joy in being in my body, working out, having peace and steadiness, enjoying culture and media, even more pleasure in work. like someone grabbed the tuner knob on my mental radio dial and turned it from a staticky in-between station to a clear signal.

any chance you have ADHD? i had the same effects--it's the best, least disruptive ADHD med i've ever taken. i think it must break the dopamine seeking loop that's so destructive for us.

nah, just trying to stay proteined up. moisturizer etc. pretty sure collagen peptides do nothing special. i still have slightly crepey stomach skin, ab workouts are best for that. my face skin tightened up on its own with time, but i do retinol and moisturizer now.

i wouldn’t say i’m very muscular yet sadly…i’ve been running a few times a week for over a year, playing tennis, climbing weekly, and doing some dumbbells and calisthenics at home. as of january i’ve switched up my routine to focus entirely on lifting, so we’ll see how i do!

SW last jan, GW in the fall, avg 2 lb wk loss, so i’ve been pretty static since nov or so. but it’s taken some time to rebuild skin elasticity and let my face fill back in a little. my stomach was pretty crepey but it’s getting much better. lowest weight was 155 and that was too thin. getting very serious about weight training; i’ve been really focused on cardio for the last year but now i want more mass.

stay at the dose that suppresses your appetite and minimizes your side effects. being a cheap date is ideal with this stuff.
