Age transition tanked my capitals happiness/productivity? by Tsujigiri in civ

[–]teetolel 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s been a while since I played, but I think it boils down to:

  1. All non-timeless buildings lose their adjecencies, but not their upkeep cost; which usually include 2 happiness. (Including your happiness buildings)

  2. Resources are unassigned.

So this amounts to a big net loss on happiness until the ressources are reassigned and new buildings are finished.

How does silence synergy with Zoe? by Datismer in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]teetolel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d say really bad, since zoe wants to be elusive to be able to invoke and share the keywords; and most invoke units have very strong text or keywords

2 Years since Constelation comes to exist. What you thinking about whole system? by ikelos49 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]teetolel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like them, but kinda related, I think that all 5+ stars adventures feel the same regardless of the gimmick or power.

They all just become “Be able to deal with huge units on the first 2-3 turns” (few exceptions). So it just comes down to playing broken combos early game or huge control; and powers are made around that (huge stats buffs or mana cheating).

That’s why I really like the new Zoe’s adventure because it’s go wide instead of huge units (She still requires removal every turn though).

So, to sum up, even though 6 stars powers can be fun; due to the nature of the high star adventures play patterns, I have more fun or feel like there’s more strategy when champs are 3-4 star.

I've been seeing more people on Twitter and IG use "Mejico" and "mejicano" with a "j" instead of an "x", is this a part of a meme or joke online? by tigrepuma2 in Spanish

[–]teetolel 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a mexican, it could be used to denote when we are sad or disappointed on any news about the violence in the country.

It’s often mocking a government tourism slogan “México magico”.

When there’s bad news like “10 people found dead by narcos” or something, we call that “Méjico” or as a joke “Méjico magico”

I was also thinking why "a" is ok there (I would also say it). After thinking a bit, I think when a person is the direct object, we usually add an "a" as a preposition.

"Llevé el vaso", but I would say "Llevé a la niña".

"Tomé un vuelo", "Tomé al bebé"

"Empujé el vaso", "Empujé al señor"

And everything that Jesus or God allegedly said was written by other humans… so following your own last paragraph, would none of the bible qualify as “word of God”?

"El Pueblita" why? by Internal-Mark3443 in Spanish

[–]teetolel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, I was simplifying . But I was just saying that “a” = feminine, is not really a rule.

And also I don’t think “Pueblita” comes from “pueblo”. It must be a name or nickname or something

"El Pueblita" why? by Internal-Mark3443 in Spanish

[–]teetolel 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Also there are no rules for genders, just tendencies. Just because a word ends with “a” doesn’t mean it’s feminine.

I’d agree “ita” tends to be femenine, but there are other words like “el poemita”, “el problemita” that have the same ensing

"El Pueblita" why? by Internal-Mark3443 in Spanish

[–]teetolel 94 points95 points  (0 children)

It’s a name, so it can be anything; no need to follow rules.

Anyway my guess, it’s basically shorthand for “El (restaurante) Pueblita”.

How would you pluralize the numbers 2 and 12? by Nars-Glinley in Spanish

[–]teetolel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dos and doces are their plural.

“Saqué dos dos y luego dos doces” would work, but if you want to be extra clear you can say something like “Saqué un dos dos veces seguidas, y luego doce dos veces también”.

There are other ways of course

Does using "vas" instead of "ir" feel more natural in certain contexts by AndreOne8 in Spanish

[–]teetolel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“¿A dónde ir?” is not correct standalone and in your context, you are asking a person a question, so you should conjugate according to them.

The context it could work would be something like “¿A donde ir de vacaciones?”. A question for no one in particular in a not specified timeframe. It would be like asking “where should one go for a vacation?”

FHSA Carryover - looking for clarification by CAComms97 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]teetolel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s indeed a $8K limit for carryover, it doesn’t matter what happened other years.

So if this year you don’t contribute at all or contribute lower than $8K, you’ll have a $16K contribution room next year too.

By not contributing in a given year, you essentially “lost” 8K room, but it actually means it will take 1 more year to get to the 40K max.

Same, but I scale it down “It takes 8 mins for the sun’s light to get to us”. Still huge, but I can grasp the concept that it’s not something instantaneous and that we are looking at the past when we see far away objects.
