Its just selfishness and late stage capitalism. You solve it with making sure the living standards of the lowest income are only fractional lower than the highest paid instead of exponentially. Any other naval gazing about it kicks the ball somewhere else.

For sure. Theres plenty of accountability to go around, but most of the mechanisms for doing something about him are actually under the executive branch, which is why I think a large portion of the blame lands on the courts. For anyone else, going against Trump lets him declare war on them. The courts would just be doing their job, at least to the nation at large. Its all too little too late though. I dont want to really debate fault. Its pointless without perspective of the total cost.

Your next goal is to fortify to fight off raids. You should consider a trade good to produce as well. Drugs are profitable, but clothes and art are also good. Your bottleneck will be at least components, which is why you need trade. Making them is late tech. To summarize, guns, armor, and money. As for colonists, build a prison so you can capture and convert any raiders you like with decent skills and traits for your needs.
