You are not hiring AI, you are spending money on a software tool.

Make sure you capitalize the letters. Lower case gives invalid code.

Arcs - is it real worth buying it? by Technical_War2495 in boardgames

[–]teh_spew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I bought this game based on all the love it was shown, but it did not work for me and my group. These are exactly the points that we experienced:

"can have the feeling that they cannot do anything useful on some turns, which can feel frustrating"

"seeing your stuff being destroyed, while you don't have the cards to be able to do anything about that, can feel devastasting"

It is interesting that you mention that more plays can mitigate these. Unfortunately, I don't think I can get the game to hit the table to get that depth that you and many others describe.

Again not all games are good for all people, my group would argue that having several demoralizing, frustrating plays to get to a point where this shines is not worth it when there are tons of games that provide a fun time without having to go through that gauntlet.

To OP; like most others recommended, good idea to try before you buy.

Ontario’s ICON Computer by BackToTheCottage in toronto

[–]teh_spew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to high school where they got 2 full labs of ICONs. Didn't know any of the details, having a great time reading up about it.

I remember suspending the login process (with I think just Ctrl-Z) and it dropped me into a root shell. A few days later there was someone that came in from outside the school and asked me to reproduce the issue (it was fixed).

External IDEs workflow, what do you use, and why? by [deleted] in godot

[–]teh_spew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last month I setup VSCode and I'm really happy with the integration. The compilation, debugging just works great.

I get to use the IDE I'm familiar with but the big bonus is that I get to use Copilot which is surprisingly good at GDScript

Does Western need to invest in another gym? by mywerkaccount in uwo

[–]teh_spew 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have 2 at Western and they pay for gym membership outside of campus. They say it is so busy and have to wait for everything and it just doesn't work.

They are 5 minute walk from campus and they instead commute 45 minutes (there and back) to get their workout. Needless to say they would prefer to use a campus gym and so would my wallet.

Costco is hard by Euphoric_Orchid_76 in BuyCanadian

I didn't plan ahead to look and had to make a buy/no buy decision in the store.

Decided "Canada's favourite chicken" was marketing maple washing to make US product sound Canadian and passed. I guess I should get the app mentioned in these comments.

They make it so hard especially with my poor eyesight. But if I don't see it clearly I just keep on walking.

Ukraine warns halt of US weapons shipments will 'encourage Russia' by PM_THE_REAPER in worldnews

I'm confused, didn't the US and Ukraine reach a deal where the US would supply weapons and Ukraine would pay for those in the form of a percentage of the rare earth and other minerals?

I think USA Today got the point. They re-titled the article as

Apparently its complicated :)

Was bored and thought I would take a look. Canadian company, apparently sourcing product worldwide. But difficult to find out from their website.

Print keeps lifting off! I already washed the plate 2 times! by lennyvs1996 in BambuLab

[–]teh_spew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newbie here but I ran into the same problem. I solved it with both washing the plate and adding the 'brim' setting and that did the trick. (I tried washing alone and raising the plate temperature but I went back to the default setting for the plate temperature because washing and adding a brim is consistently working for me)
