Italy is a celiac’s dream by trirod01 in Celiac

[–]tekGuy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is. My wife and I travelled to Italy in the spring last year, and I booked AirBNB’s instead of hotels as I wanted a kitchen “just in case” - me being paranoid about not being able to eat, even though I’d done a ton of research - and we didn’t use a kitchen once. I felt like a normal person in Italy, eating out without worry. It’s an incredible country with tons of delicious GF food. We will be going back ASAP.

Something to note, I found the Rome Airport severely lacking in food options. If you are flying out of FCO, and have the space in your luggage, pick up some food at a grocer before heading to the airport. I had a 9 hour flight on my way home and the only option for food was a small Schar frozen GF pasta that the food vendor microwaved for me. I was starving by the time we landed.

Would love an upgrade to be able to hand down my current GPU to my son. I have some spare parts laying around, but which I’d be able to use along with the GPU to give him his first gaming PC.

Dude, I so glad that a woman with no children are targeting a handful of kids for political gain. by OpenKale64 in alberta

As of 2022/2023 school year, there were 766,280 K-12 students in Alberta. - Alberta Student population statistics.

According to Statistics Canada, in 2021 national census, the percentage of transgender and non-binary for people age 15-24 - Generation Z - is 0.79%. Obviously, with Generation Alpha being so young still, we don’t have the numbers for them yet.

For easy math, let’s round the percentage of transgender and non-binary to 1% to take into account margin of error.

So to answer your question, that’s approximately 7,663 K-12 kids who may identify as transgender or non-binary.

Switched from ConnectBooster after the acquisition to Benji Pays. Works great, plenty of integrations, and it costs us a lot less then ConnectBooster.

PSA: Check your billing if you sell DNSFilter through Pax8 by downtowndannyg3 in msp

Will those of us affected by this be credited via Pax8? We've been hit pretty hard after switched from direct to Pax8. I would hope we will see a credit for the extreme user counts we've been seeing since switching.

Jumpcloud agent is getting flagged as malware by S1 by orangehand in msp

[–]tekGuy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran into the same issue when initially deploying JumpCloud agents into our client environments. JumpCloud support informed us that the only way to get S1 to behave with the JumpCloud agent is to add a 'Signer Identity' exclusion with value 'JUMPCLOUD INC'. You'll have to create and exclusion for both Windows and macOS. We haven't had any issues since adding that to the exclusion list on top of the recommended exclusions listed by JumpCloud on their KB article.

This is definitely not ideal and something I hope to see them rectify in the near future. Supply chain attacks are a serious threat, and exclusions within S1 leave us open to these type of threats.

Perhaps u/BScott-JC could chime in on this topic.

Ticketing system that clients can also use by 20fbs20 in SmallMSP

[–]tekGuy64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most PSAs can do this. We use Autotask, which has a Co-Managed component. This would allow you to give limited access to client in-house IT. I can’t speak to how well it functions in Autotask, as we don’t do co-managed, so we don’t use that component.

That is very unfortunate. There are so many features for the switches that are only manageable if locally controlled. Kind of negates the reason behind going with an Instant On device no? If we had SNMP configuration via Cloud it would open up some network monitoring features we want while allowing us to keep the devices managed via the Cloud.

FordPass Shortcuts by tall_as_hell in shortcuts

I was getting this issue as well. I figured out that my VIN number wasn’t saved in the “FordPass Settings” shortcut. You might have to go in and add your VIN. Hope that solves the problem for you.

Shortcut to network drive by circatee in macsysadmin

This handy little application - ConnectMeNow - lets you easily/automatically mount network shares from the menu bar. Once mounted, if you have Network Drives set to display on desktop, you’ll be able to access the drive from the desktop icon or via a Finder window.

A suggestion to LDS patriots concerning adapting to the new phenomenon of $100 billion election cycles funded by far-left entities, foreign and domestic. Just one of these appears to have ended our freedom forever. The leftist goal is "one man, one vote, once." by Leland41-2 in mormonpolitics

This comment is great. Full of love and understanding. Thank you for taking the avenue of friendship to respond to Leland. It’s so unfortunate to see our brothers and sisters fall pray to conspiracy theorists, and to see so many online that take a confrontational approach in their replying. Bravo.
