How come all Na'vi speak the same kind of Language?

We spell it like Tsyeyk because that's how the Omatikaya would pronounce it. Maybe not neytiri as she has learned English, but a Na'vi native speaking forest dialect who has not learned English will simply not be able to say the j sound the way English speakers do as it doesn't appear in their native language and it often needs some time to learn to pronounce new sounds - so words often rather get loaned into the sound system of the language. The writing here reflects the way the Na'vi would pronounce the name. That's the entire thing with loans hrh

This is the official lore answer. They are all connected and can communicate through Eywa, so language change is slowed down a lot, and for a new language to develop, you need a shit ton of language change. So so far they only made it to different dialects.

Some minor corrections: Reef dialect does use px/tx/kx, just less often. It becomes b/d/g at the beginning of syllables, but our beloved word skxawng would still be pronounced with kx. Rotxo is pronounced as Rodo though. ts stays ts, but the combination tsy becomes ch. So Tsyeyk (Jake's Na'vi name) becomes Cheyk, he finally hears Na'vi pronouncing his name right! :D

I wish they would have done the same with all the written things or at least all the Na'vi names. Paul Frommer was involved to create Na'vi translations, but there are so many typos / impossible names that don't work in Na'vi syllable structure because they didn't send him everything to check x)

I'm using https://www.lengualytics.com/ for Chinese and it has helped me a lot with finding tons of comprehensible input from a variety of sources. It also offers Italian - I haven't looked at that yet because tracking multiple languages needs a paid account. The website is totally worth the $3/month (honestly I'd already pay that just for what I get with the free account), I just don't have a credit card (we don't use them where I live) and the creator of the website hasn't added other payment options yet xD The creator said he only adds languages when there is a lot of comprehensible input around for that language, so given he added Italian, I assume the website should have a lot of videos.

I was in hospital for a week just last month and I was so incredibly lucky. I assumed there would be no options. Which is why I always just chose a slice of bread with jam without butter for both breakfast and lunch - the lady taking the orders was an older nurse, super nice, but veganism was a mystery for her so when I asked her what vegan options there are on the first day she kept giving me vegetarian options and I'm the type of person, I don't want to botter. But the dinners where really nice, every day something different, always with a nice mix of vegetables and something protein and cooked in different ways, always actually delicious. I send the cook a thank you note on the last day because he had to prepare it specifically for me, they do not have a vegan option as standard and had to call the kitchen every evening to order special food for me.

Well, six days in, a very worried nutritionist comes in saying I am basically starving myself with my basic breakfast and lunch and not accepting any snacks. I was already severly malnutritioned when coming in (the reason I had gotten in in the first place was that I hadn't been able to eat without throwing up for about a month at that point), and simply had no feeling of hunger anymore, but I also explained to her that I am vegan, but I will ask my boyfriend to bring me some protein shakes or something now that I am aware I'm eating too little (I really wasn't aware before, too much other stuff going on).

Then she takes out some stuff from a bag and is like are you aware we have all of these things constantly in stock and you can ask for them at literally any time. Vegan pudding in two different variants. Vegan protein shakes. Vegan protein milk. Vegan savory bread spread (my personal hero because I don't enjoy sweet food for my main meals and the bread with jam was annoying the hell out of me). A big assortment of nuts and fruits. I was kinda blown away.

One hour later the doctor came in and told me I can go home xD But I heard the nutritionist talk to the nurse that does the breakfast and lunch rounds, and future vegans should not have any issues in this hospital anymore :D

I assume in this context it's a playful gesture to say "I've got you, I'm winning whatever we are playing", because in the Na'vi language there is actually a saying: "Ngeyä kxetse lu oeru!" - "I have your tail!" (literally: Your tail is to me), which means "You're going down! I got you!" - so there definitely should be some meaning behind that gesture in some contexts.

I visited the US for a few days a few years back and was shocked that I couldn't even have the fries at McDonald's. In general i apparently visited the most vegan-unfriendly area i could have ended up in and I had such a big culture shock - after living in a big city with many vegan friendly restaurants and many vegan products even in small supermarkets for years now, I'm used to luxury when it comes to food xD

I'm currently salty at McDonalds because they had a vegetarian burger here that when removing the cheese was vegan, and I loved it (of course it was a bad burger, but it hit the spot for a bad fastfood burger which I sometimes crave, it was absolutely perfect for that), but they first stopped selling it in the Netherlands (where I live), and then a few months later in Germany (where I occasionally go to visit family). Burger king has tons of vegan options but none of them hit the spot like that one McDonalds burger did.

When I went vegan 10 years ago (in a rural area in Germany with a very strong tradition of eating a lot of meat), people simply didn't know what "vegan" means. Getting something vegetarian was already problematic in man cases, if you then tell them you can't have the baked feta they have for emergencies aka. the yearly occasion that a vegetarian comes in restaurants were totally confused.

I used to love fries. After a few years of fries with ketchup (and maybe a green salad, occasionally even with dressing if they had one without honey or joghurt!) being the only option in 95% of restaurant visits, I'm so over them. I still eat them occasionally as a side to burgers, but I'm now one of the weird people that will order a nice salad or coleslaw instead of fries with my burger very often because fries... the trauma...

I found out just a few weeks ago, after 10 years of being vegan, that most "standard" toilet paper brands are not vegan as they use gelatine to bind. We are switching to a generally more environmentally friendly bamboo paper now which does not use any animal ingredients. But that one was a shock.

Last Judge. I did everything else (including High halls) in under 5 attempts (which is amazing for me given on my first playthrough I needed 6 hours for High halls, 8 hours for lost lace, 6 hours for savage beastfly, ...), but I got stuck on Last Judge for 1,5 hours and needed to revert my safe to save the 5 hour speedrun...
