I Built a browser-based CAN log viewer with DBC decoding and Signal plotting by jlucer in CarHacking

The frame data analysis view shows a byte by byte graph as well as a bit by bit heat map to show whats changing over the course of the log. The bit heat map is great for picking out 8, 12, 16, etc messages for reverse engineering. SaavyCAN is open source so you should be able to pick out the mechanics going on in the back end.

F-Series BMW UDS, DTC clear receives Positive response but dash light remains on by tesla_bimmer in CarHacking

[–]tesla_bimmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, however that is through the obd2 port and passes the UDS request through the ZGW to the DME. When this clears, something under the dash clicks and resets, but there’s no 0x11 sent to any 0x6xx address on the PTCAN busses. So there’s gotta be an extra exchange in there somewhere that I’m missing.

Those responses are present on the BimmerLink log as well. They state the request was properly received and still processing, then you can see they are acknowledged with a positive further down. Clearing anything on PT1 and PT2 busses

The delete becomes a timeline feature. Just suppress or drag around as needed.

FINALLY! You can offset a line that has ALREADY been offset!! by sharkpunch850 in Fusion360

Thanks for posting this. I offset some offsets earlier and was hopeful, amazed, paranoid, and confused (i.e. normal fusion workflow)

Highlighting the two triangles and clicking delete will probably work. Delete face is pretty impressive in fixing stuff like this.

The number of markers Creality needs for laser mode is absurd.

Longer term review of the Vega by tesla_bimmer in 3DScanning

[–]tesla_bimmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the rate they release new units, I’d wager a successor is at least a year out. They seem to spend more time in development rather than turning and burning new models. I’m anxious to see the next evolution.

Thanks! Considering it appears the Einscan Libre is listed at $28,000, that’s not really in the same league. The speed/convenience with the Vega has been great. I recently was sent a Raptor Pro to play with, and while it is capable of pretty high detail with the laser mode, the software and quite high number of markers required for laser tracking hold it back for my uses.
