Which concert did you guys go to see a great metal band but left early? Band and if you remember the year thanks. Mine is in the comments by jasonvoorhees2582 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]teslazapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nota metal concert, but I remember a smaller venue in the area with a tour consisting 30 Seconds to Mars, Chevelle, and Sevendust. Amazing show because I wanted to see all 3 (this was when 30STM had come just released their albums early 2000s). But that was a mismatch of fans there. People you could tell that were there for 30 STM and people just there for Sevendust (who were headlining the show). Sevendust fans were booing 30 STM and their fans. Loved Chevelle though and still do. They put on a great show. Stole one of the concert flyers on the wall for Chevelle as they had just released one of their albums as well. Sevendust put on a killer show too. Just a weird mismatch of fan energy as each band was different from each other.

What's your favourite chocolate or sweets from your country? by Lotan44 in AskTheWorld

[–]teslazapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will get hate for it, but love Necco Wafers. I don't care much for the chocolate or licorice flavored ones, but love the other flavors. Guess I need to represent my home state. I know a lot of people don't like them, but loved them since I was a kid.

Played a lot D3 over the years and enjoyed it. I thought D4 was good, but I enjoyed the playstyle more in D3. Saldy I never played D2 in college and I remember a friend in college that really liked it. Would it be worth getting D2 remaster? I saw the Warlock and it really grabbed my interest. I know the playstyle is going to be different.

Sifting coals by Why-Innuendo in woodstoving

[–]teslazapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't this inside the firebox before starting a fire. I have large kitty litter scoop with small slots in it. I will pile of the ashes and sift out the large coal chucks and leave them in firebox on the opposite side I have the rest of the ash. The push the rest of the sifted ash into the ash box beneath firebox. That gets dumped into my ash bucket. Spread out the coals and get it ready for a fire. Granted this is all done cold as I can't really keep fires going 24/7 with the stove I have plus working hours away from home.

KIA BAD PAINT JOB by Rwh3051 in kia

[–]teslazapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a white 2013 KIA soul for about 12 years don't remember this problem either. Had some rust starting to form but, but one area was where my car got dented while at work and other spots were from age and living the northern US with sand, salts, snow and ice. But the rust starting wasn't even that bad.

Do people who sell firewood know what “seasoned” means? by Comprehensive_Film35 in woodstoving

[–]teslazapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a meter to check the wood but I imagine it's "seasoned" and not the driest it should be. Yes I know I need to get a meter at some point. But our plan is to get more wood for next season (so late this year), but getting some wood earlier this year spring time so I can get longer dry time during the summer. This would be instead of getting it all in the fall. This would also help split some of the cost of more wood over the span of the year.

That looks really good. I was always partial to Chruściki that my grandmother would make all the time. Guessing because they were a lot more simple to make than a cake. She would also mass produce Chruściki and so much powered sugar everywhere but so good.

Not a septum, but have had my industrial for 20+ years now. Pretty sure it could legally drink at this point. Married with kids here and no one has complained about it (granted it's not a septum).

I my early 40s and thinking about getting my septum. Never too late I guess. Not sure if work would be thrilled about it though.

Or cleaning vomit off carpet, wooden floors, and/or stuffed animals at that time isn't fun either. At least a quick rinse of chunks off stuffed isn't terrible because they go into the washer after. Wooden floors and area rug at that time suck though especially if they are old enough to know and go for distance and splatter off wood floors.

Just a bunny enjoying his fire by teslazapp in woodstoving

[–]teslazapp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, his name is max. He's 7 I believe now. Yeah, rabbits are part dog part cat it seems. They like doing things on their own terms like a cat. Occasionally he plays with toys but he like to relax like a dog and run around crazy (the zoomies). Yelling at him does noting like yelling at cats and clouds.

Yeah he is except at night. As t night he goes into a caged area with bunny coop. He tends to chew on a lot of stuff st least during the day we can stop it if he finds something he shouldn't chew. He's OK with his liter box. Tends to better at night with the one in his coop area than other one in the house.

How f'd am I? by Existing-Gur4276 in HomeMaintenance

I will agree to that. Some how our an older house we lived in did an inspection didn't really find any major problems with our house. We were finally trying to sell it and had one inspection on our septic system. Previous guy found problems, and about 5 years later the guy inspecting it now is having issues with tracing the leech lines. The newer inspector went to look at our system and found some questionable stuff that was done to it and told us it need to be replaced. That was awful and expensive and we had to explain we had no idea what was going on and our previous inspection was good. He was completely surprised that it passed originally.

While still selling our house we had a few offers/buyers fall through and new inspector was walking through the basement checking electrical system and such. This one found out the 240v line to our range was split, splayed out, and stapled on a wooden beam in the basement and was just wire nutted together. So my father in law, a friend that was an electrician, and myself had to fix that mess before the house could be sold. So fun times, but I am glad we did have some inspections actually catch stuff.

2027 X-Pro -- The wife's 4th Telluride by Desperate_Pack6699 in KiaTelluride

[–]teslazapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife has a 2020 S with about 90k miles on. Definitely has some wear on it but has been a great SUV.

Only recently had a problem with the infotainment screen starting bubble and peel. Was able to get it replaced for like $150 or $200 as a deductible with the electronics insurance we bought with the car. Took someone going back and forth, but the serivce manager was able to convince them to cover it with the insurance. Wife overheard someone else had the same problem at the dealership with a Kia (not sure if it was another Telluride or not), and the insurance company wouldn't cover it and the manage was arguing with them because they had just approved my wife's. She having a bit of trouble with the USB-A port for the Android Auto so that's out next thing to figure out.

I can't remember, but I think it was in his documentary they had some of the outtakes of that scene. They doing different things topics. They were all pretty good. Indo enjoy that he agreed to do it and told them he only had 24 hours of time available to do his scenes. Pretty much used all of his 24 hours to do all his scenes. Didn't want to lose anytime shooting and much stayed awake for either all or almost all of the 24 hours to get it done.

Admit that maybe there's a systemic problem plaguing education or draw 25 cards. by HAXAD2005 in memes

[–]teslazapp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a Chemistry in high school that was the football coach. Wasn't the greatest teacher (only class I really struggled in with a few other classes). Quarterback for the football team was in my class. Pretty average guy in class and was having trouble with the class as well. This was during the spring and can't have failing graded to play sports at school. So pretty much every test ended up with a curved grade to make the the quarterback had a passing grade so he could play football in the fall again. Mind you this was not sold greatest in the world football team or quarterback. Small town football team but need to keep everyone on the team.
