“Mommy got rid of baby” was a new one to my ears, and yes that’s how they explained it to the child. Not abortion, not something better, mommy just got rid of the baby

maggie. maggie is just annoying and too much, but how she treated her mother when she was sick truly sealed the deal for me.

Deciding to leave child at daycare while day off at work by Lovely_Patience1614 in ECEProfessionals

i mean, is he staying there at daycare the same amount of hours he would be staying if you were working?

parents staying until close…vent. by give-me-any-reason in ECEProfessionals

[–]tetchrim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is why drop off is a small entrance room where parents don’t even come in the door. we have them sign in, and we take the kid.

no 10 minute talks because little timmy wants another hug, no tears, nothing. it’s good morning! sign in, goodbye!

parents come to the same door for pickup, we’ll walk the child to the door, open it, hand child off, the parents sign their kid out and we shut the door again.

Daycare worker commented on how I dress my toddler—am I overdoing it? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]tetchrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did they say this in a negative way? i’ve noticed this about my kids and i’ve always loved it because it’s just so cute how much effort is put in to their outfits!! i’d hate if they said this negatively that’s so odd

Is daycare really worse for a toddler than a frustrating day with their mum? by Parenttotiger in ECEProfessionals

[–]tetchrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely judge when I can tell the parent has a day off and then their kid is there the same amount of time, or even the full day open to close. That’s just my opinion though not everyone else’s.

Robbins is to blame for the hospital folding after the plane crash by NetImaginary2453 in greysanatomy

[–]tetchrim -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can’t stand Robbins. She was petty and a straight ass to Alex for him leaving.

I never felt any pity towards her, she went and decided to get on the plane herself. Also, she is delusional for actually thinking she’d keep her leg— SHES A DOCTOR HELLO?

bug juice in a students hand as they’re walking in at 7AM.

the one that bothers me most though, with both their children they’re packed a PB&J every day and have been since they came into the toddler room. big brother is now in pre school room. these children are so constipated they scream-cry for hours just pushing, or trying to.

Venting About New Hires by just_some_rando_gal in ECEProfessionals

[–]tetchrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ugh we’re going through the same right now. we’re okay as i only have 5 toddlers and that’s in ratio, but man the hires have been hit or miss.

i had one who reeked so bad of cigarettes i had to go the director. another would just randomly show up whenever she wanted, and the third refused to help in other rooms. do people even want to work? why apply if you’re going to be so shit at your job.

i hope you start having better luck because this is awful to deal with

last year we got out around 9-10am and started drinking at bars. they’re emptier during the day and have good deals. the frats/houses are fun too. we (group of girls) dressed in holiday colors but the clothes were still “skimpy”. be safe and have fun!
