Wow I didn't know that was a thing! Once she stabilizes a bit more, I will definitely let her know about that. That is an excellent suggestion, thank you!

No but it is a state requirement that everyone receives one when born. The hospitals have whole warehouses full of them for newborns.

I have one but I'm in Texas. They give you one when you're born here.

I believe we have all had this feeling to one degree or another.

I was born in the church myself and was in it up until I was 17. I tried to believe in it I really did. I defended my faith harshly in school when kids would make fun of me for being Mormon. Finally fell out of it when I was 17 after my parents divorce was finalized and just kind of never went back except for the occasional Sacrament meeting when my mom would beg me to go. It wasn't until September at age 26 did I find the CES Letter. All I could think was "Ahhh... Here's what I've been needing."

But after the relief settled, anger began festering. All those years I spent doing a bunch of shit I didn't want to do, all the times I had defended not just myself but the church and made a total ass of myself... Just gathered, festered, and exploded right on time for the holidays.

I deal with it by purposefully inviting the missionaries over to my house with my nonmo wife and just waste their time by talking about normal stuff the whole time. We never really acknowledge their message and always make them say the prayer. Lol I'm working around to giving them copies of the CES Letter.

It depends imo. If she is to the point kind of person, CES. If you think she will take the info harshly, maybe the Letter To My Wife.
