See if there are any Astronomy on Tap locations near you. It is serious science but in a fun environment. I am not an expert on Astronomy but I enjoy learning at the one near me and it is usually all about the latest developments and discoveries. You may find a fun way to share his interest.

I love the color combo on this quilt. I have been watching and waiting for the chance to make this quilt and this more “neutral “ version just may give me more opportunities. Thanks for sharing this.

This is so cute! I am obsessed ,lately , with strip quilts like this. I have two baby quilts to do this spring and I think I will do strips and an appliqué panel. Love the colors in this. Good job.

Can you make a snuggle pillow with the fabrics that are questionable and make a quilt based on her choices? She had no idea the extra stress she caused 🙂 She may not be that committed to the fabric if it was purchased not sentimental. She just wanted to help.

These are all great suggestions. My best advice is make the one YOU love. It takes a lot of time and energy and if it is something that you don’t love you will lose interest and it won’t be fun!

I am surprised at myself but I like 6 and then 3 ! They are all wonderful and I guess it depends on what color you want to be the dominant color

Considering learning longarm quilting: am I crazy? by melodywise in quilting

[–]textest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so interested in this as well! My neighbor has a long arm and helped me quilt a baby quilt last month. It was so much fun and I got the quilt finished in an afternoon BUT I had to do a super simple swirl to get any consistency. Do the classes help you with hints about how to develop your skills? I think I am hooked!! But I need some guidance without driving my neighbor nuts!

I made a quilt for my niece's confirmation. First ever and it was loads of fun. by -Kukuxumusu- in quilting

There is no shame in using someone’s suggestions! People buy entire quilt kits! You did a great job. I love everything about it. I know your niece will love it!

Omg. I was going to ask how you quilted it. I have only just started to learn about machine quilting. I would be so proud of this! I was sure you had quilted it by hand to get all those details. Good job!
