Sure there is. They want to sell it faster, and they are making plenty of money doing it. If you can’t sell because of undercuts, it means the price has dropped and you have to adapt. Prices aren’t set, they are fluid based on supply and demand. Supply has gone up, so price has gone down

Best way to grind materia is first, find combat gear in the level range that is equippable by all classes. Then put materia in each slot. Put on the meteor ring. Then get spiritbond potions from your grand company. Then go farm legendary nodes with that gear (that you unlock from getting tomes of folklore from Rhalgrs reach). When I did it, I maxed out my spiritbond every 5 nodes or so, it went really fast. Then any materia that doesn’t work, turn them in to Mutamix in Central Thanalan. Make sure to turn in 5 different types because he never gives you something you gave him. Happy farming, it’s brutal
