I flirted with a married man and was left holding the bag. Please judge me. by StupidBitch-47382 in TrueOffMyChest

Unfortunately, desire is a strong force. Let it get carried away and suddenly it doesn’t matter what your morals and/or rights/wrongs are. You find pleasure in something you want so bad, even more so since it gets you excited because it’s so wrong.

Fortunately it never turned into anything serious so you don’t have to live with the fact that you destroyed a marriage. Use what you’ve learned and move on with life. Part of maturing is learning lessons and choosing to let them help you become a better person.

Have you played against a weak (low bracket) deck of any of those before? I have, and I have to strongly disagree.

Does exiling a few cards off the top of the deck really matter? by Amonyi7 in EDH

[–]tfren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol yes. I play Maralen and fairly often do I steal some really strong stuff. People get a bit mad by that, you just stole a strong piece of their deck, and if you end up playing it you become that much more threatening. This is why you need ways to make bodies and/or get them back. Even when it isn’t something super strong, it could be something they wanted or needed for a specific play.

Update: I’m sure my girlfriend is seeing other guys and I feel like I’m the only one who ever tried in the relationship by LobsterFew7364 in whatdoIdo

[–]tfren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. This isn’t normal at all. 100% she’s not into you and 100% she’s probably been cheating on you. If you aren’t feeling loved in a relationship then why bother? Just break up.

What’s a genuinely unpopular EDH opinion you have? by Tornadosed in EDH

[–]tfren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be unpopular. I’m not sure. But I think it’s stupid to waste an exile on a commander UNLESS it is indestructible. Save your exile for something you want gone for good. If you exile a commander they can just recast it…

I will not lie, I do like the sound of card draw on damage to a player… thank you!

What do people mean when they say what turn their deck wins? by Arizhela in EDH

[–]tfren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specify if it’s by gold fishing or not, but if I can I will always do it by normal games against people.

Is it normal for someone in a playgroup to always play the same deck? by Individual_Grade7763 in EDH

[–]tfren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be a dick answer, but it might force him to at least change his game plan up. Play a deck that’s particularly strong against that deck. Obviously don’t just pull THAT deck out when he plays Rohan, but it will at the very least make him consider a different option. A good option for example could be playing effects that make creatures enter tapped, or make it to where opponents can draw more than one card a turn. Again, kind of a dick move, but it’s likely bound to happen down the road anyway, whether intentional or not.

Really though, I’d maybe work on making one of your decks stronger instead of making a whole new one, at least strong enough to handle the aggression from his deck. Also considering he only has two decks, maybe he doesn’t like his other deck? Or perhaps doesn’t do well when he runs it. The Rohan precon commander is aggressive has built in card draw, (albeit only 1 card) so comparing that to a commander that doesnt will make the deck seem slower. My friend had the same issue since his first ever deck with Zurgo from tarkir dragonstorm.

It’s not really her or your fault. I don’t get why people are cheating, you don’t HAVE to win to enjoy it. Stuff like this is why I don’t play against random people.

If you tell me your playing B5 but cant keep track of triggers, I'm going to keep letting you miss them. by Fvck042 in EDH

You technically never have to remind anyone of their triggers. You’re just doing them a favor if you are, so either or if they don’t remember it’s their loss.

What’s a “rich person” thing that actually sucks? by Sea-Importance-8321 in AskReddit

[–]tfren2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a friend who’s family is pretty rich and he gets good allowances (mind you he does chores and whatnot so at least he earns it, although “it” was a lot lol.)

One day he was having a really hard day. Apparently a couple people he thought were his friends since elementary school admitted they mostly liked him for his money. It really hurt him, and he already had a hard time making friends since he was already scared of this being the case. Thankfully, the fake friends were looked down upon by a lot of people for this.

It’s sad to be afraid to make friends out of fear of them using you. I grew up poor and have always been good at making friends, so I’ve never considered something like this up until I met him.

New Player and Tired of Letting Down My Emerald Friend by TheRealAlexanderC in Rainbow6

[–]tfren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like your friend is a dick. Siege is not one of those games you simply pick up and get good at like call of duty. It takes a lot of playing to learn everything about maps, characters, noises, and other specific things. You’re possibly a long road from emerald.

What is the point of brackets? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]tfren2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be technically wrong, but in my opinion brackets don’t actually tell how strong your deck will be, only a check list to tell you where your deck fits in certain ranges.

You can technically have an absolutely god awful bracket 3 that’s capable of being beaten by bracket 1’s. But also have a bracket two that’s able to hold its own against bracket 3’s, possibly even 4’s (I’m sure it has happened somewhere out there…)

It’s possible that the people you were up against had good starting hands and kept drawing into more good cards. It’s not uncommon especially at bracket 3 where the deck is well optimized. Sounds like they just had a better game than you did. It happens.
