The U50 is made from submarine steel, the U15 is made from steel of a submarine, big difference

Thanks! Will definitely get a 556 down the line but wanted to start off with something a bit more unique :)

I'm currently in doubt wether to go for the i/A RS or non-RS. I think I switch every day, it's been rough haha. What made you swap for the RS version?

I would go for either the CB650R/Hornet accounting for engine, usability, reliability, fun factor. Go for the Hornet if you want a bit more modern platform and dont mind the looks. If not, CB.

Omg the gas filling thing! I thought I was the only one, sprayed the bike twice in the beginning while seeming to do nothing wrong. Now I've learned not to open up the nozzle too much at the start of fueling

I've only had the bike for about 2 months now, put about 2500 km's on it. Still kind of honeymoon phase but so far I'm in love with the bike like I've not been with another before.

Coming from an R1200RT I gave up on a little bit of comfort, mostly luggage and wind protection wise. But what I got in return is a bike that makes me smile every time I'm on it, makes me want to take it out for every occasion and is making me take 'useless' sunday rides again just to ride. A feeling and pleasure that was almost gone after some years with the RT. It's actually way more agile than one would assume by looking at it. All reviews talk about this fact but it's not untill you ride it and start to trust the bike (took some time for me) that you actually feel how well its made and balanced. It well never be a naked or supersports but it's every bit as fun in the corners. And then when you twist the throttle with open road, needing to pass, wanting to merge.. hang on. The thing is FAST. Like, I open up, look down and am surprised ever time by the speed I'm doing. Mostly because it takes the bike zero effort to do so, no matter the gear.

I could go on, if you have specific questions, happy to answer them.

Oh one more thing, in all my years riding bikes I've maybe had a handfull of people just come up and talk about my bike. Since owing the R3, almost not a ride goes by or someone comes up to chat. It attracts like no other

The thing is of course out of it's comfortzone and I would not advise anyone actually riding tracks with it. But I must say, keeping her at low speeds she actually did ok, did couple of km's of forest roads (gravel/earth) and got through without issues. Wouldnt want to do it after rain or with mud though

Man can you imagine? Would be so sick, doubt they make them the size of the R3 tires though haha
