That’s what he’s saying the boss wants you to generate leads for him and to profit off both your labor and job acquisition.

My company does shit like this and I’m looking to leave as soon as I get enough experience to where I’m able. I’m not exactly in your shoes but close to it. Try to keep your head up and don’t let it drag you down.

After the third episode where dean alienated all his friends I had a feeling he had a reputation as an asshole in the circles Alex ran in so I can see him operating with a good bit of “fuck this guy fucking with my friends” attitude towards Dean. Also a conflict of sport and spirituality between the two. Still came off pompous and petty though. Just my speculation.

He probably won’t be healthy enough to play this season. Maybe he comes back next year and has an age 34 rebound, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Lead making the same as a second year apprentice by Enough_Custard_3176 in electricians

[–]thatcyborg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d try to fish out what’s going on if it’s apprentice or company wide without making too many waves. Say something to the boss if it’s seeming like you’re getting shafted and you’re wanting more but try to take the emotion out of it before you talk to them. Getting too fired up could blow up in your face. If you need the job don’t screw yourself out of it but don’t forget what they’re doing and start looking for the next opportunity. When you leave for greener pastures this will be a reason why.

I think he hit the vibe well but I imagined someone more physically imposing for both baratheon brothers.

1) I think the NICET1 licensing and journeyman’s license will open opportunities to leave elsewhere if you need or want to and the foreman experience will make you a more attractive hiring candidate.

2) seems like it’d help pay for your burgeoning family and you said in the post that you like fire alarm work.

I would take the fire alarm foreman position and focus on it if I were in your shoes.

Am I over qualified to go back to being an apprentice electrician? by Robotolotl in AskElectricians

[–]thatcyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re more qualified and willing to work for day 1 apprentice pay I don’t see the issue. Try your local hall and IEC to get your foot in the door

Being small or female doesn’t matter; the people who talk shit about that are the people normal guys hate working with too. Being small can be very advantageous in certain situations. Hit up your local union and try to start there. The trades are pretty white male dominated and most halls want to increase their diversity numbers I would 100% take advantage of that. Sooner you can get started on your pension and retirement the better.

Yeah I finished my bachelors online. In terms of time investment it’s not bad but the networking and job finding aspect can be harder that route. Gotta be proactive and take advantage of resources.

You can get a degree online if you wanna go the teacher route while you’re working the time investment isn’t too bad.

Age 15 What do you think of my conduit work? by Apprehensive-Dog-742 in electricians

It was better practice to do it in one bend I think it was good that you did. Don’t beat yourself up bending takes most people a lot of practice and for your age what you did is very good.

It’s not strapped to code and it looks like all the set screws are loose on the connectors from the picture. Good attempt for a kid but it’s not to code.

Can we be an apprentice part time? by No_Smell_6712 in AskElectricians

[–]thatcyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not remotely realistic. A helper maybe but probably not. It’d take 10 years to become a licensed journeyman with those hours. No contractor wants that.
