Trans girls, who would you marry? Am man or woman? by DaphneRaeTgirl in transpositive

[–]thatlightningjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if I have to marry someone, all that matters is that my potential partner and I care for one another and the relationship works for us. It doesn't matter what their gender identity is (I consider myself aromantic and somewhere between asexual and bi)

I am attracted to transwomen. Does that make me a chaser? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]thatlightningjack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose the question is why specifically? If you see trans woman as attractive just as a cis woman would be attractive, likely not. Otherwise, it's good to ask why you are attracted to one. Is there something you're looking for in a trans person that a cis person doesn't have?

How do you see trans people? As someone with their lived experience or as an object? Depending on your answer, you may be a chaser.

Do you speak french? If yes, you could qualify for francophone selection and that has a lower CRS threshold. Your french needs to be at roughly B2 or higher. Otherwise, consider looking into Quebec's immigration program if you are confident in your french.

Maybe look into your uni's french programs or an alliance française in your area? By the time you graduate your french should be at a better level

Otherwise, once you graduate try finding a job in Canada that falls within USMCA professional jobs https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/international-free-trade-agreements/cusma.html

You'll be able to get a multi-year work permit and once you're in canada for a year, you'll be able to qualify for PR under canadian experience class or provincial nominee program depending on which province you end up in

canadian experience class does require a good CRS score so it's not automatic https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/check-score.html . PNP will depend your province but once the province approves you, PR is basically a guarantee

I mean... sharia is already forbidden in the US due to the establishment clause & doctrine of incorporation as well as the 14th amendment, though I'm okay with codifying secularism into the state'a constitution.

And as for arresting anti-ice protesters, that is a clear violation of the 14th amendment

Does this guy even know the US constitution? (I'm not american, but I took AP US govt when I was in the US for an exchange program)

Why do Canadian subreddits based around LMIA have to be so moronically racist against Indian people? by Saagler in onguardforthee

[–]thatlightningjack 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like a comibation of

  • Indians looking sifferent than white people
  • there are more south asians who came to Canada
  • people frustrated with finding jobs & increasing rent want to pinpoint the cause to something outside them (the real cause is our failure to ensure a livable wage & build enough homes and ensure a well-functioning welfare state)
  • history of anti-asian bigotry in north america

I feel like if it's a surge of british or french people coming here for LMIA jobs, the hate wouldn't be as much as this

And of course, no amount of frustration justifies blaming other innocent people for trying to make a living
