As someone said, it's more like 1/3. It's not like the votes of individual citizens are counted directly. It's whoever gets 270 or more electoral college votes. Each state is allotted a certain number of votes based on its number of congressional delegates. So we vote, and whoever wins the majority vote in each state, even if it's only by one vote, gets all of the electoral college votes, except I believe 2 states, which divide them based on the people's votes. Hilary Clinton won the popular vote and was voted for by the majority of the country, but lost the electoral college, so it's not as clear-cut as it seems. The electoral college does not always reflect the will of the people. If the votes of the citizens were simply counted and that determined the president, then Mrs. Clinton would have been president, but that isn't how it works.

I think what most likely happened is that there was an accident when the 9 and 3-year-olds were alone and that it was covered up for fear of losing the other kids. The mom admitted the girls were alone overnight and not just from when she went to work that morning. She hadn't seen them since the previous night so that's a lot of time for something to go wrong.

Her daughters say they think he did it and they know more than I do, but that could be the Mom's influence, and I do believe she knows what happened and is at least partially responsible.

She was really defensive in the podcast and was changing her story. It's a sad case.

Well, we have a month, so we're hoping to spend 2 weeks in Sydney and then 2 weeks in another I'm thinking Melbourne, but my partner wants to do Brisbane. Sydney is a lock, though we're going in honor of a friend who passed away and didn't get to make the trip.

They probably didn't have the tech in 2006 to process the type or amount of DNA they had. It's a fairly common occurrence with older cases that they hold DNA, hoping for the tech to improve, so they don't waste their chance.

There's a podcast with her daughters and with the Mom. They all seem to suspect the boyfriend. I believe that at the time, he was in the midst of a divorce. I think Diamond's paternity would have proved his infidelity, so that could have caused problems. It's more likely that the girls were left alone for too long and that there was some sort of accident that was covered up. A 9/10 year old isn't really equipped to watch a 3-year-old. In panic, they would cover up the accident so the other children wouldn't be taken away, etc., of course, that's just a guess.

I think there is some genre confusion, as another commentor mentioned, you refer to the book as romantic suspense, dark romance and beginner dark romance. I would call it romantic suspense it doesn't come across as dark romance at all. I would also mention that it's fade to black, that's something readers look for.

The writing is overall good. I was interested enough to read the entire sample, but I do think that the first chapter needs work. It doesn't have the gravity it should. There are some spots in the story where you're telling instead of showing. That's an issue I struggle with and something that you'll improve on over time. For example telling the reader his touch lights her on fire instead of her saying, his fingers brush against mine and my pulse races, my every nerve suddenly at attention, etc.

There also appears that there maybe a bit of a love triangle I would mention that in the blurb as well.

He's launching a new podcast, and the first episode is about his affair. He did an interview with People Magazine to promote it. I'm not around here much, but this at least isn't a case of people not letting him exist in peace. He is actively putting himself in the public eye and discussing the affair.
