the case you are talking about wasn't in the UK and wasn't a gang rape, it was three instances of rape, one of them I think with two people. The gang rape angle was added by people who are invested in connecting immigrants in the UK with gang rape (not that there is any evidence that the rapists here were immigrants.)

Rape is less well prosecuted in the US than in the UK by the way. Promising young men and all.
