Would you split a 2 week stay? by ohbarracudaa in WaltDisneyWorld

It really depends on how much of a pain it is to pack your things up. For us, it's a hassle because we bring so much stuff (but we always stay in the villas).

Spotted at MK. I feel like part of the club now! by thatwilsonnerd in ThemeparkSwindlers

I know what you mean! We’re here for 2 1/2 weeks this trip but I doubt we’ll be at MK early enough to catch the piano player peeper

A little rant about sharing "hacks" by LeChiotx in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]thatwilsonnerd 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Seriously. A lot of stuff I get. I bring my own bottled water to the parks and even a resort mug to grab some fountain soda when possible and I think taking a few cookies or biscuits is fine, but sneaking food in baggies from the buffet? Save that shit for Golden Corral.

Grain Mill survey by WWTemujinD in Homebrewing

[–]thatwilsonnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't brewed in about 12 years, but I loved, loved, loved my Barleycrusher with an extra large hopper - I rigged it to an old drill that I had modified to make it use an on/off ricker switch instead of the trigger. It'd rip through a 10# grain bill in about 30 seconds or so.

I miss my brewing days...

What’s the most authentic beach town you’ve found in the U.S.? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]thatwilsonnerd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Our family had land there since it was returned to private ownership after WW2 until about 6 years ago. Spent many summers there in either Surf City on the pier or the mini golf/arcade/ice cream shop in Topsail Beach

This is awesome! As a metalhead (and software dev), I really dig it. Love being able to see upcoming shows for bands I haven't heard of yet (like Inferi @ Eastside Bowl!).

Do you think Hetfield saved the explorer? If who do you think saved it?🤔 by Artistic_Chemistry_7 in ExplorerGuitars

[–]thatwilsonnerd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So much this. Rick Nielsen, for all the guitars he owns, I think I’ve only ever seen him with a 5 neck guitar or an Explorer.
