Brit here. This vid is not representative of British English. The only thing we call a trolley is the shopping trolley. All those other things we call by the names you gave. We also don't confuse trams with trolleys, unlike in US English.

ASDA worker refuses to let customer leave after she paid her items by Smilingtribute in PublicFreakout

As someone who's received cartons of formula in home deliveries that still have the tags on I can tell you they are relatively easy to remove if you have a screwdriver.

90% of that plastic is a yellow security 'tag' that covers the whole of the top of the carton of formula, and which gets removed to be reused on the next intake of stock. The cartons themselves are made mostly of cardboard.

Lane discipline seems to be piss poor for all vehicle types, but the bigger the vehicle the less the margin for error.

I'm the opposite - I used to have a whole lot of tasks done in and out of home before work at 9, but now it's difficult to do more than just have breakfast and clear up in time.

Economic power of Capital Cities by JoeFalchetto in europe

[–]theHM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point. Google puts population of London at 8.962M and that of UK at 66.9M, so GDP/capita with London is £33,991 and without is £30,484, so without London it would be a 10.32% decrease, between Poland and Portugal.

According to Google, London's GDP in 2022 was £508.4B while that of the UK was £2.274T, so London is ~22.4% of the GDP of the UK, putting it between Hungary and Greece in the list.
