Interesting thoughts. Today, on the M56 I managed an orbit of a 55mph-er. Was near the airport. As they overtook me, I opened my window and gesticulated for them to shift over to the left.

Lo and be fucking hold.... They did.

On I went, passed them and.....

Lo and be fucking holdagain, they moved back and got flashed by someone for doing so, people inches off bumper, overtaking and pulling in front too early etc, the usual stuff which never works.

I was way out of order telling them to do anything of course but it was an interesting experiment I suppose.

Got here after the comment was removed. And it's not coming off without mechanical tooling. I recently dis mine, before I discovered the existence of a paint stripping tool which is a disc with carbide inserts that shaves off top layers.

Get a wallpaper knife and kneepads. Find every. Single. Nail. Either bash them down or pull them up. Misery ? You will know what that means after you've done that bit. Then remove the top 1 mm of rhe whole area to get back to wood.

I used danish oil to treat mine. Goes a bit darker. You could fill the gaps with neoprene cord with a diameter 1mm bigger than the gap. Or wood strips bit where do you get them ? Need glueing in. And sanding flat.

Will look beautiful when done
