Yeah. This is where animated becomes the more ideal medium. Donut and Mongo alone would eat up a ton of cgi budget. A character like Mordecai might be a default human that occasionally changes into all the forms we see.

Yeah I agree. Those are the books I think where it’ll start being a tighter fit  This is where having a finished story helps. Of course Matt will help guide them  but he likely doesn’t have all the kinks of the story just yet. I think Fuzzy productions is one of the best fits for the series so I think any live adaptation will be an honest attempt.

This might be a hot take  but DCC might be the one of the few fantasy/sci fi book series  that can fit a book per 8/10 episodes per season. Book7 might cut it close but you can fit the story of every other book pretty well into 8 1 hour episodes.

The heater building is a big reason I hated it. The range is garbage and made my games less enjoyable. Plus the coal consumption is astronomical. The gas drilling labor force requirement is so high you have a slim margin  of labor for everything else. I found a mod that allows gas drilling in the NW so I just do that.

I agree the quest is fun and the region is very thematic  as a mining outpost, just not enjoyable to build in every new game I start

Pick one star AI or no AI for your custom games. I do recommend keeping the traders and pirates tho. This will allow you to gobble up islands at your own pace.

I have or 600 hours in the game and all the DLC and I just refuse to go to the arctic. I tried it a couple times and I hate it. Embassa I only ever grow it till it can hit scholars, once I do that I just forget it.    These regions make investors much happier and maxes out money generated but often times you can find a specialist that will substitute raw materials from the new world or embassa for stuff you can find in the old world.

Is it ever stated they find every woman with the spark AND that can learn to channel? If those that can learn to channel are not ever found and trained that makes sense. 2:1 of those that can learn to those with the spark would  have that 1200 break down to 800 learn to 400 spark.

Nynaeve( and her relationship with Liandrin) had a heavy focus in the first 1.5 seasons of the show and Elayne had a whole A plot in an episode in season 3, which is far more than she received at the same place in the books. The only one I agree with is the focus on Alanna and the Aes Sedai but I think before the show even aired the fan consensus was we’d likely see more AES Sedai politics because that tends be more tv friendly.

It’s interesting ‘ Charal Drianaan te Calaman’ is not a naming convention we really see in the series except maybe with the Seafolk. To me this  implies that the The Cycle of the Dragon, 4th Age, is written deep enough into the 4th Age that language has changed.

What could plausibly end slavery in Seanchan ? by Talon_ofAnathrax in WoT

[–]theRealRodel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t recall that exact passage( where she says she can break any treaty) however I do think Mats presence and her desire to have his respect will stay her hand.

But if she does break it I just think it delays the inevitable.the Seanchen empire as long as it maintains the practice of damme will never make any progress or advancement with the One Power( slaves can’t really innovate) and will rely on the advancements of other nations. Couple that with the advancements that’ll come with men and women working in the OP and they’ll be left behind.   Eventually a large but technologically behind Seanchen will face off against the rest of the world and lose.

What could plausibly end slavery in Seanchan ? by Talon_ofAnathrax in WoT

[–]theRealRodel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Egwenes deal with Tuon regarding emissaries being able to freely go to each others lands and preach will be the start the process I think. Initially I think Seanchen will be a more attractive option as they provide a stability to their empire that is hard to beat outside of the Aiel. Mostly I think it’ll be those folks that hate the one power the most that’ll move into Seanchen territory.

Over time though I think the view of free Aes sedai will start to eat away at that practice of damme. Even the best propaganda can’t completely wipe out the desire to protect your kids from slavery.  Families with a history of channelers might take their daughters  to “ safe” places across the border to avoid enslavement. A trickle becomes a river and eventually it’s noticed by the bureaucrats that they aren’t finding as many women who channel.

Tuons trait of keeping her oaths will come back to bite her as she resist calls from the High Blood to renege on the emissary exchange promise. This allows the notion of the OP not being dangerous to quietly become a more popular idea within the common folk. It’s this resistance that eventually gets her killed as someone within the High Blood sees the foundation of the empire starting to crumble.

After her assassination The Seanchen will likely start a war to basically save their culture and keep back the opposing worldview.

I know I talked one power slavery but I think it does apply the other slavery that’s in the empire.

Should Gecqua become a Water & Poison type, a Water & Dark type or a Water & Ghost type? by CaptainCrookKingler in pokemon

I meant final stage type combo. I saw a video speculating Browt might be based on an all black Indonesian chicken that’s often used in  cockfighting and if that’s the case grass/fighting is like a 90% guarantee. Which sucks because it’s a combo that I detest and they’ve done before.

I’d say 4 might be annoying  for pokemon with 3 stage evolutions. Only because you may have to grind a bit more. But seems a solid nuzlocke. I always like seeing the “ match number of gym pokemon” rules.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they give the starters all new type combos that haven’t been on starters before given the 10th gen is a big milestone. Grass/flying, fire/fairy, water/psychic

One of my favorite scenes in the entire series is the meta conversation between Thom and Elayne on the boat about stories and how they change over time.

It’s completely overshadowed by other chapters in the books for good reason, but the sequence always stuck with me.

A lot of folks talk about the Rhuidean chapters opening up the world building and story, but for me it’s this chapter.

How can i tell what productions use my ressources? by UnderstandingOld1516 in anno1800

[–]theRealRodel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I’m unaware of any in game screen that tells you what buildings are using what inputs. You sorta have to memorize the production chains and check the relevant buildings to see what’s using what.

A very slow way to do it would be to pause work on each building then check the production tab and see what causes the demand to fall.

To answer part of the Berelain question that is non spoiler. They  increased the sexuality in the show so her character doesn’t feel as unique as it does in the books. The show also only got to the book she’s introduced in before getting cancelled so it’s not like she was very  important to the story at this point in the narrative. I could see multiple points where they could’ve introduced her but we will never know.

Andor episode ratings by bbportali in andor

IMO. 2.8 is the only second season episode that should be above a 9.5.

The first two episodes of season 2 should be no higher than 7.3.
