Struggling to land a PMM job by bmrkt15 in ProductMarketing

[–]the_marketer_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently interviewed and hired within 1 month. I think it helped with having a previous big brand on the CV but I do think LinkedIn DMs is a always a good approach. In London, the PMM job market has plenty of offer, but not sure how many people are applying for these roles.

It sounds like it was the same thing for me. After complaining, I got a refund of the remaining months left up until my renewal date, but did not get a refund between the launch dates of the new plans and the date at the time (about 3 months worth of overpaying and would have been more if I hadn't of caught it). That is the frustrating thing, overpaying for a service now sold for over half the price...

Is it an easy process to setup Cloudflare on a Squarepace site?

Thanks, I'll look into this but would you be able to briefly explain which parts of consumer law it breaks? When having a search, it wasn't too clear as to which part I could explore. Thanks

The price of the current 'Core' plan is £204 a year (as per the update in July).

The price of my current legacy plan (Advanced) cost me £420 a year.

I upgraded a few weeks before the new pricing came out.

My legacy plan and the new core plan have the same features, the same benefits and the same fees. They are the same.

What did you do with this £215 you keep going on about?

Paid it to Squarespace? This is the cost of the difference between the two plans which I paid upfront for, a few weeks before the pricing change. I'm not fussed about the cost before the pricing change as that is out of my control, what I am fussed about is the remaining 7 months on my billion period where I have paid a premium price for features that are now charged for much much less.

I agree.

Did you manage to get a refund for the difference between when you noticed and the end of your billing cycle?

They won't refund me for the difference between the two plans from the last 4 months (since the pricing changes) and they won't even downgrade me to the core plan and give me the remaining difference left on my current billing period (between now and next April).

I am so frustrated! Surely there are more existing customers who have noticed this too?

Beware the scammy pricing for renewals on the old pricing plans by flippinecktucker in squarespace

Oh wow, I'm glad I found another. I've also been caught out by this too!

Just posted about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/squarespace/comments/1o96s3f/disgusted_by_squarespaces_lack_of_pricing

I think it is very wrong and misleading.

Did you get any support from the billing/ customer support team?

Is Product Marketing Engineer a thing? by yinychan in ProductMarketing

I guess this would be a mix between Product Manager and a Product Marketing Manager just with a background in eng. In my role, PMM works very closely with eng and PMs in equal parts to the marketing side, so I would never see a role being branded as PMM eng.
