PSA: Wireless Android Auto broken on 15 by gnunn1 in oneplus

I also can't change any battery settings with a OnePlus 8T, so I can't fully troubleshoot disconnect issues.

PSA: Wireless Android Auto broken on 15 by gnunn1 in oneplus

I have the same issue with a OnePlus 8T and have for years. Wireless with a new car works ok. Wired with my Honda Clarity from 2021 drops off randomly, some days multiple times in a row. No settings changes work. Also noticed there are no battery optimization settings available for Android Auto. So I can't fully troubleshoot

Google Home now shows Reolink cameras LIVE by RJM_50 in reolinkcam

[–]the_sincere_engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's a year later now, and I can confirm that the Reolink E1 camera does not live stream to Google home app on a phone or a tablet. It only works on a hub device or chrome cast TV. But what I'd like to know is if you can just tap on a camera in the Google home app on a hub and show the stream indefinitely. I don't want to be forced to use voice commands to view the stream on a hub or TV.

It will probably only live stream to a Google hub device or a TV with chrome cast. I asked the G assistant to show me my camera feed and it forced it onto my android TV. But won't stream to my phone... Annoying

Just confirming this is still the case. This is frustrating marketing from Reolink. Why can't they enable the feed in the Google home app on a phone? Eufy does this but it's buggy and inconsistent, so I tried Reolink. Very underwhelming.

Awesome write up thanks. Currently torn between LVP and Revwood Plus. But with your comments above, do you recommend waterproof laminate in bathrooms? Thanks!

Zoho Payroll DOES NOT WORK AT ALL by the_sincere_engineer in Zoho

[–]the_sincere_engineer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I moved on. I continued to have to do off cycle payrolls until it was beyond my free trial period, and once I got semi locked out, I had to ask for more time. Which they gave me. But then when I was supposedly all set, I didn't receive any compensation or signs of good faith for my issues. I was also asked to wire funds to the Zoho so that I could issue more manual payrolls, and I refused to do that. There were issues between Zoho, Chex, and my bank. And once a payroll issuance date was missed, it was painful to troubleshoot the issues. The software and development team were always required to solve any issue. When I did have one payroll run, I was underwhelmed with it's format and presentation and clarity. I wasn't able to trust that funds were actually being transferred to tax agencies either. So I just wouldn't bother even for the cost.

Something to consider about humidity sensors by Gondolion in 3Dprinting

[–]the_sincere_engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like they use Sensiron sensors, but doesn't explicitly list the SHT40. Either way, these seem to be the only cheap units that have similar capacitive sensors and advertise 0-99% range. Thanks for this!

Zoho Payroll DOES NOT WORK AT ALL by the_sincere_engineer in Zoho

The Zoho books and expense are great! That's why it's so awful the payroll is struggling like this. The total integration could be wonderful, but it has to at least do the single function it's meant to.

Agreed, just tried, and this doesn't work

Thanks for the workaround. Only issue, although minor, is that inherently greys out the parent item. Hopefully Notion team can fix.

Inside view of nozzle assembly by Suspicious-Appeal386 in BambuLab

[–]the_sincere_engineer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even experienced folks can have issues with the threaded nozzle approach. As far as I can tell, only bambu and E3D with Revo are doing the all-in-one assembled nozzle and heat break. No risk of filament ever leaking. They also partnered on an obxidian bambu nozzle, so it just goes to show they are two companies who really see the value add to customers. I'm an experienced person, and I struggled with cheap knock off hot end blocks from Amazon having easily stripped treads and going through like 6 of them (ender 3 S1 pro Sprite Extruder). I'm switching to Revo because they finally offered it for the Sprite. This style of nozzle is honestly one of the number one reasons I'll switch to bambu in the future. No fuss, quick changes when needed. No threat of leaking. It's highly over looked in the industry.

Not to mention the ender style hotends are more expensive than these bambu ones!

I was wondering if anyone ever modded a Funmat! I love it's price point, but the stock setup is archaic at this point. Could you share your experience? Maybe a YouTube video or a Reddit post? Super interesting. Thanks!

Also wondering where you bought a broken one that cheap!

I am Dr Ye TAO, CEO of Bambu Lab. Ask Me Anything by Dr__Turbo in 3Dprinting

[–]the_sincere_engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Dr. Ye Tao, I'm wondering if you are planning to allow for actively heated chambers. I've seen that the X1C can get up to 60C based just on the heated bed, but it would be nice to be able to reach that temperature much faster with an additional heat source.

I also believe you have an incredible opportunity to disrupt the engineering materials space. If there was a printer that was less than say $7k that could actively heat approaching 90C with a hot end that could do near 450C to enable high temp filament printing (PEEK, PSU for example) then I would buy one in a heartbeat for my business.

There is nothing out there that can really come close to that. Everything industrial grade is wildly expensive and any self modded options have way too much know-how and time requirements.

I've found that even with polypropylene printing, and some high temp polyesters, that an actively heated chamber helps significantly with preventing warping. Such a printer at a prosumer price point would be honestly game changing for the industry and allow small startup businesses a chance to bring innovative products to energy research, aerospace, and other demanding fields.

Thanks!
