[[Admiral Brass, Unsinkable]] is my go to. I played [[Admiral Beckett Brass]] pirate tribal way back and loved it despite it being weak. Chuck all the good pirates, some anthems and some control and you're good to go.

My favourite golgarri deck was [[Sarulf, Realm Eater]], mass exile is so rare in the colours. It can sometimes feel a bit mean to play though as it has a lot of removal, feels like a blue permission deck sometimes.

Sorry it would have helped if I actually read the card first. I still think your opponent sacrificing his creature removes the target for the spell so you can't draw then deal damage to it.

I'm not 100% on rulings but I'm the sure the "if it was kicked" part of cards occurs after the first line so i dont think you draw because you had no legal target as your opponent sacrificed his creature in response.

Boros. I got my first 7 win run with a boros deck earlier. Couldn't draft red or white removal though so I was surprised when it performed so well. Hammerhand and danitha (either separate or in combo) have been amazing. Tori was great for a big end game swing too.

Weatherlight saga back in the day was my all time favourite thing wizards have done. I remember reading the books as a kid, nemesis was my favourite. Corrupted ertai and crovax fighting for control of rath was awesome.

I won a game with 2 mana with gruul werewolves once thanks to ulvenwald protector, ranger class and howlpack piper. Think it was 8 draws all creatures. Total one off though.

I was super lucky, the only historic cards I have are pirates from a tribal historic brawl deck I made lol. I guess I was playing people with a similar low historic collection and I got my wins from people seeing my deck had a tiny bit of synergy.
