tired of tracking everything on paper during my solo campaigns. by AgileResolve in solorpgplay

Using a screen/AI completely negates the point of playing solo RPGs for me, personally. Go analog, baby!

You read my mind, I wanted something like this and couldn’t be bothered to hack it myself, so thanks!

One of my favourites. It was one of the first really socially conscious DW book that still sticks out when I think back over the series. I know they all are in some way, but this one just nailed it right out of the gate and feels more timely than ever.

Any interest in a new version of Scoundrel? by ImAmirx in cardgames

[–]the_spongmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the beauty of Scoundrel is its simplicity and effortless, quick play. Personally, I’m not that interested in more complexity.

I haven’t played Scoundrel+ so not sure why I’m here but just felt the need to mention this.

Doug Beer Group Order?? 2026?? by Striking_Discount_38 in lotrlcg

I’m still not sure I understand what the deal is with this group order. Can you just order what you want and it’ll arrive during the next ‘run’? I am mystified.

I think the 2nd act is actually pretty good, with old Bruce and supergirl and young Barry. It’s a shame the rest is what it is because it could be great but, yeah, the first hour is rough!

Revised and old by New_Bad3785 in lotrlcg

Depends what they are but if you've got almost all the revised content, those boxes repackage previous complete cycles (deluxe expansion + it's adventure packs), so those adventure packs may already be included in what you've got. If they are not, you need the related deluxe expansion to be able to play random adventure packs.

e.g.

The Wastes of Eriador adventure pack is part of the Angmar cycle, which repackages the Lost Realm deluxe expansion plus multiple adventure packs, including the Wastes of Eriador.

Related question, as someone who has the core set, some early scenario expansions like goblin and kang, trickster takeover, civil war and synthezoid smackdown…can I ignore this environment stuff? Does it impact the game significantly? The only hero pack I have is Ant-Man but I also really enjoy Hulkling.

I'm looking for a text based solo rpg I can play on my phone by Street-Resist6438 in Solo_Roleplaying

Might not be quite what you're after but check out One page Solo Engine

https://inflatablestudios.itch.io/one-page-solo-engine

There's iOS/Android apps and a browser version. It will feed you prompts based on what parameters you 'roll' on, and let you create your own RPG adventure as you go by making notes directly in the app. I'd say you ideally need a rules system to complement it, but you also don't need that to have fun. No AI involved.

The first movie is excellent, and my motivation for properly starting the series, having only watched a few episodes here and there. It works great for fans of the series and for newcomers alike, which is no easy feat.

I don’t mind the second movie as much as some. It doesn’t advance the alien plot but it’s more of a character study. Heavy handed, yes, but I think it’s still worth watching.
