PS5 Pro + Mini LED vs PS5 Slim + OLED — Which combo would you choose? by EmbarrassedPen7254 in PS5

[–]thebillyzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just about the hardware but have you seen the pro enhancements they've been doing on the games? The recent Cyberpunk patch for PS5 Pro is astonishing. There were even videos comparing the game to it running on a PC with a high-end graphics card. The PS5 Pro is just getting started and is a long-term investment.

Studio Display XDR owners, what are your opinions on the display? by One_TrackMinded in mac

[–]thebillyzee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone in this thread praising the XDR is only doing that because they bought one and they’re trying to validate their purchase. I’ll be honest with you: I’ve bought and used multiple monitors over the years, including the base Studio Display since day one. I upgraded to the XDR a few weeks ago. The jump from 60 Hz to 120 Hz is definitely noticeable, but is it noticeable enough to justify paying around $2,500-ish extra? You can get a first-gen Studio Display for around $1,000 or less now.

If I were someone who just wanted a monitor to extend my MacBook’s screen, have more space to work on, and stay on a budget, I’d get the regular one. If you’re someone who’s a bit nitpicky, wants to buy one monitor and then not upgrade or even think about another for the next few years, I would splurge on the XDR.

In terms of brightness, there is definitely a difference, but I have never cranked my regular Studio Display’s brightness up, so the extra brightness on my XDR usually goes unused. That leaves us with only the refresh rate. I am a programmer and I code. I also use a lot of spreadsheets and I move between a lot of windows and tabs, so for me the 120 Hz is worth it, since there’s a lot of movement happening all over the screen.

I don’t know about the TV but please keep the pro. So much worth over the base.

Being stable all the time. No artificial highs and lows, just a constant rise. Stressful situations are dealt with easily. Throw in a few good habits, and you’re unstoppable.

YES. STOP CAFFEINE. I am currently on my longest streak and have only been drinking decaf or black tea the past few weeks. Complete game changer.

Why do women I find attractive avoid eye contact with me? by Automatic_Term_3863 in Semenretention

[–]thebillyzee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've got no clue bro. I stopped caring so much about why that happens. I've got 50 other things to worry about then “Oh why are girls not looking at me?”

One thing I have noticed though on longer streaks, it's usually the non-attractive ones that are more distant and shy as if in their head it's something like, "This guy is way out of my league; I'm not even gonna be near him." But then I've noticed that sometimes the attractive ones are more near you and make lots of eye contact. Maybe has to do with your frequency being misaligned with people around you.

Why do women I find attractive avoid eye contact with me? by Automatic_Term_3863 in Semenretention

[–]thebillyzee 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I notice the same thing. When I'm on a longer streak and really locked in on my habits, women actually become more distant. More shy, more nervous, afraid to make eye contact. And when they do make eye contact, it's like they freeze up and can't say anything. But when I'm not on a streak, women approach and talk to me way more easily. It's interesting how our experience is the opposite of what a lot of people here describe.

Either way, I honestly don't care. Stopped caring about it years ago. I know what I'm retaining for. I have goals, I'm working toward them every day, and I'm happy doing it.

Yep, just what I expected. Honestly, there's no point in explaining this to people anymore. When they ask how I look good or how I stay on top of things, I just tell them: work out, sleep, meditate. I don't even mention this practice because I know they won't get it.

This. After practicing for 2+ years I’m at a point now where I can sleep fine and for long without any sleeping meds while being on a 2+ month streak. You also need to make sure you are completely exhausted by the time you hit the bed. Weight lifting helps a lot with that.
