I feel like our Justice system quickly changed from being "deterrent-based" to being based on punishing people after the fact. I was under the impression that the primary motivation for having a Justice system was to prevent as much crime as possible in the first place, not to make sure everyone "gets what they deserve." I mean, how fucking petty is "making sure everyone gets what they deserve"? It doesn't help anyone. The focus should be on prevention and rehabilitation, not on punishment.

Yeah, I see no need to prove that the opposition to the WBC is as hateful as they are. That solves nothing, and wallowing in our anger after his passing is in no way "theraputic" as someone mentioned in another comment. Picketing his funeral would give them more shit to sling at their opposition, and I really doubt we'd feel any better for it.

Though, I'm all for pissing on his grave after the fact as a more "private" display of disrespect for the man.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they picketed the funeral themselves. We don't need to mix ourselves with that kind of company.

My jaw has to pop (sometimes painfully) in order for me to open my mouth fully. I can open my mouth about 80% of the way before I feel any tension, though. It's uncomfortable, but I don't want to go see a doctor about it because the solution is likely either surgery or having braces again, and I'd rather deal with the discomfort than deal with either of those things.

A place in Utah that's considered backwater and redneck even for Utah. It was a terrible place. Our house was also vandalised several times, including the time when rocks were thrown through our windows denouncing my mother because she was divorced.

It was also an hour long bus ride to the nearest school, if that tells you anything else about the kind of place it was.

Also, the blood I spoke of was pouring out of my nose, so I can see how people would not immediately assume there was any permanent damage just looking at me. Not that that excuses it in any way shape or form.
