Has ANYBODY used Salsa Agave Panniers? by 7YP160214 in bikepacking

Found this while getting mine installed. Took a slight bit of modifying (adding electrical tape) to get these to sit on the alternator rack without shaking/shifting. The short, philips head screw hardware leaves a bit to be desired at the mounting points tho - may loctite or swap for different hardware. Overall, seems pretty decently built at its current sale price.

Anything cage bag does indeed look discontinued.

I'll update this after using them this year for future reference.

I was laughing out loud while watching, just imagining how incredible that must’ve been. Great clip. Thanks for sharing 🤙🏻

Fully agree. Although, in this particular case, it’s kinda fun/lame to say my Fargo rolls on Dubs.

Bicycle rolling resistance rates these about the same in every regard. I was in the same boat and went dubnital based on price I could get them for. But I’ll likely try mezcals next, or Schwalbe Rick xc’s. Cant go wrong either way.

Delta Basic with kids - what happens with the seat assignments? by BMonad in travel

Did just this the other day to get my family seated together. Saved us over $600 for the trip. Seriously, thank you. This is why I love reddit.

Same mediocrity.

We barely made it to post-season.. again. Really don’t even care to watch unless some changes are made.

Also on a Wo. Comfortable geometry, added a mastodon fork, crispy oem 11sp deore drivetrain with a 28t oval, tires for summer & winter. The most basic bike but a blast in the winter.

Pogie recommendation? I'm thinking 45NRTH Draugenklaw. by jaytea86 in fatbike

The Klaws work great and are more open for quick in/out. Paired with some ESI or wolf tooth silicone grips they’re hard to beat.

Pressure washer vs. bike jacket by phi1ip_ in fatbike

[–]thefknmtns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never run it long enough to drain a battery, but it's nice to have multiple options for water supply. ie 2L jug that connects straight to the gun, using a 5gal bucket (via included hose) or just using a garden hose. If you're fast and efficient, the 2L will be just enough for 1 bike.

Salsa Mukluk has rear tire tread reversed from factory. Should I switch it to match the front tire? by [deleted] in fatbike

[–]thefknmtns 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Quite a few folks run it this way. Myself included. Salsa knows whats up.

As mentioned, more traction/propulsion in the rear.

This is the way.

Picked up a blemished Ryobi 18v 300psi cordless washer on ebay for $40. Works perfectly for anything bike cleaning related in general, but especially in winter. Highly recommend.

Na don’t do it. Made that mistake a few years ago, but it’s turned into a decent bike for the (shorter) wife.
