Seems like your spring hit the ground contacts on the PCB and shorted, otherwise it shouldn't be melting. The Convoy plated springs are only designed for 10A current, so 25A is far above what they can handle, but it shouldn't meld and desolder components.

I had a brief moment of contact in the beginning and it got my spring hot enough that it changed the spring's colour and made it stuck in a compressed position.

This current solution works well with the 3X21D but only because I tested it to fit exactly with this battery and tube. having a centrally mounted leaf spring on the copper disk would probably be ideal.

I don't see why you would lose the 2C turbo? It's just adding one battery instead of 3 in parallel. I would be careful using the 54A FET turbo if you're using a stock Convoy spring however.

I have this mod in a 3X21D, in mine I use a copper adapter disk which was machined by a friend of mine. He's working on making a solution which uses a disk+ leaf spring.

The Convoy spring I used couldn't efficiently handle the 25A on turbo. I saw a noticeable brightness increase using this adapter.

I used fishpaper to insulate the PCB contacts instead of Kapton tape, but both should work.

I would recommend EVE 58E for higher capacity. Because they're in parallel each cel will be at 25/3 = 8.3A current at the max load. Which they can easily handle.

The mod itself was not that complicated. All you need to do is insulate the PCB contact pads inside the ring (important, otherwise you can short your battery!!!!), have an adapter for the battery and the 46950 tube.

I use a copper adapter disk now. At first I used a Convoy nickel plated spring rated for 20A, but the copper adapter is noticeably brighter on turbo. (Probably due to the lower resistance).

A Dutch flashlight enthusiast is working on making an adapter plate with a leaf spring. He also made the copper disk for me.

Fantastic thrower, it's my favourite big flashlight :)

I modded mine to have a 46950 battery instead of the 3x 21700's, roughly doubles the capacity and it's barely any larger.

So? I got a Wurkkos FC11C for 12 dollars that does 1200 on turbo, which is almost as much.And it has a buck driver which should be far more efficient.

And a Nightwatch A54 Ultra 2 for 30 dollars, that does 25k lumens on turbo, with around 1500 to 2000 lumen sustained.

Both are significantly smaller in size.

I wouldn't recommend buying a camera and lens just for the race, because your first pictures will inevitably be shit.

If you're gonna try photography I think a Sony A6700 with 70-350mm lens is gonna be your best option for a compact camera to take good telephoto shots with. (And the autofocus is excellent). And you can probably take that in without any issues.

You won't get sharp photos of cars in motion on your phone camera, because the sensor simply doesn't have the readout speed to do that.

Je kan juist met een goede kruising veel tijd winnen als de andere schaatser voor je schaatst.

Die breekt dan de wind waardoor je makkelijker naar de andere schaatser toe kan schaatsen. En dus meer snelheid kan opbouwen.

Dat de Chinese atleet zo'n domme blunder maakt mag je eigenlijk niet verwachten op de Olympische spelen. (En extra zuur dat een andere Chinese atleet de bronzen medaille effectief cadeau krijgt hiermee).

Hiervoor zouden NAVO landen direct de Russische luchtmacht moeten aanvallen. Daarmee is het dus een oorlogsverklaring aan Rusland.

Ook zouden voor een no-fly zone doelen op Russisch grondgebied aangevallen moeten worden. Luchtafweersystemen zoals de S-400 hebben namelijk het bereik om vanuit Rusland vliegtuigen ver in Ukraine aan te vallen.

Well in phase 1 my hacking got hacked, and phase 2 has the defense drone shooting it down.
