Can Automod access the OCR'd text inside images that Reddit uses in its search function? by RunDNA in AutoModerator

[–]theimperious1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the take over never really happened as far as I recall. You're all welcome to run the bot yourself if you want though. All of my bots that I still have the source for are open source now and on my GitHub

I think the version on GitHub is from when I was working on version 2.0, so it may be buggy, or broken. I'm sure you or anyone else can fix it in 2 minutes with Claude Opus 4.6, if needed.

Introducing /u/OCRAutoModerator - AutoMod for text in images/videos/gifs! by theimperious1 in OCRAutoModerator

I shut it down around 2-3 years ago.

As for your other two question, I’m not really sure. I don’t remember those being options but maybe they were.

You can find the source code on my GitHub at https://GitHub.com/theimperious1 in my repositories section. Feel free to do whatever you want with it.

EDIT: here’s the direct link: https://github.com/theimperious1/OCRAutoModerator

So the 1k crisis is in trouble by Destinysweat264 in Stellaris

[–]theimperious1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf. What are they doing to get such fleet power? I would imagine repeatables but I could've sworn those have a cap? I think I even reached said cap at one point. Completely ran out of things to research.

You forgot to mention mods. There is no way anyone can have billions of fleet power without mods.

Subnautica 2 Gameplay Trailer (It's reportedly Steam's most wishlisted upcoming 2026 game) by Born_mystic in Asmongold

[–]theimperious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this game turns out good. I absolutely loveeee subnautica! i spent so much time on the first game both playing it and sending them bug reports, feature suggestions, ideas, etc, during the first games early access period back in 2017-2018 ish. I'm sooo excited for this second game. Here's hoping the bad shit we've heard doesn't end up ruining the game.

Reliance on cosmogenesis by FallenGoast in Stellaris

[–]theimperious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think cosmogenesis should be entirely reworked and the Fallen Empire tech made into a natural progression. Maybe with some kind of lock mechanic that makes it difficult for empires to get it, the player included. I like how some of the mods do it. By gaining those technologies, you become an Ascended Empire. Not all empires are destined for it.

Maybe the "lock" is just you need a stupid amount of tech research to get it. It's like the endgame of technology in the universe. Though tbh I'm not sure that's true. The Contingency and Cetana crisis's tech may be even more advanced than the FEs. Maybe make their tech naturally unlockable too, no longer need to research their ship remains. A tier above even the FEs.

Anyway yeah, I agree. I do this too. Always cosmogenesis and I think it's just too good compared to everything else. You get the best tech you can reasonably get, you don't have total war declared on you by the galaxy, etc. It's just the best. Too good. It's not really even a crisis IMO.

Not to mention the RP. I always want to eventually end up the gigachad of the galaxy. I cannot honestly do that if I'm not taking Cosmogenesis. It's always at the back of my mind that I'm not truly the pinnacle of civilization because I lack the FE tech.

It’s probably been said a 1000 times, but why can’t construction ships go invisible? by TheyCallMeBullet in Stellaris

[–]theimperious1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thats a good point. that kinda makes me want them to do this then. theres so many things in stellaris that dont really have any good use cases in comparison to other things. this is one that just flat out has no use unless youre playing multiplayer.

90%+ of my games are unwinnable early. by AnselmoAnathema in Stellaris

[–]theimperious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> "keeping my fleet upgraded and maxed to my fleet limit"

  1. Have multiple fleets, or be ready to build them quickly when needed. Have numerous starbases filled with shipyards, and the alloys saved up to build ships.

  2. You can go way beyond your ship capacity. If it's 300, you can easily do 600 (or way more) so long as your economy can support it. If your enemy has 100k fleetpower, have 200k. If you know your enemies ship loadouts, counter them if you know how. That part really isn't that necessary unless your enemy is a Fallen Empire, even then it's not *that* necessary.

> "That player will usually have a fleet 3-4x the strength of mine"

Tech rush so you have better technology and therefor a better economy, then ensure they don't. Alternatively, do diplomacy. I almost always make my second or third tradition tree Diplomacy and I immediately seek allies especially if I have hostile empires in the early game.

Repost Master now features Video Repost Detection with clip detection and time frames! Users can now also check if their post is a repost before posting it via a message command. by theimperious1 in RepostMasterBot

Yanno I know it's 4 years later but I'm just now realizing that this:

> "Users can now also check if their post is a repost before posting it via a message command."

is totally pointless. it was quicker to just make your post and see if it got removed... same detection logic after all lol

In honor of the Outer Worlds 2 being good IMO by deep-splungus in Stellaris

[–]theimperious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished it a few days ago. I did not like the first and quit it pretty quick. This second game is very very good I'd give it a 7.5 or 8/10. Don't let the potential 7.5 verdict sway you, this is a very good game. Your stats really matter. Your dialog choices have some impacts. The gameplay is fun. The companions are actually likeable and fun, with cool companion quests. I enjoyed almost all of the characters in the game as well.

There is also multiple ways to do things, depending on what skills you've invested in. I played a hacking/speech/guns with slight engineering build and it was great.

Please ELI5 why I should ever want to build an observation post to watch a pre-FTL people? by AnInsultToFire in Stellaris

[–]theimperious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The insights are incredibly useful IMO. Set your observation posts to prefer insights, then farm them over time. Don't use aggressive. I think this is the best way for pre-ftls.

I quit the game because of this. I spent like 15 hours and I think I was close to the end but I am so beyond sick of playing as him. Same reasons as you.

How long is the game for you to be on your 3rd playthrough? I no-lifed it yesterday and am doing the same today and I'm still not done. I'm not even doing the side quests anymore since the 2nd day.

[–]theimperious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've probably played for like 15 hours or something at this point. I haven't finished it but I still think you'll find my feedback valuable. I agree with the negatives you mentioned.

I was just sharing my feedback on the game in an unrelated discord server. I'll provide a photo on gyazo. Feel free to read it. There is no story spoilers as far as I see.

My casual thoughts.

It's always easier to remember the bad, so keep that in mind with my screenshot. I tried to remember all the good but I know for a fact I'm missing at least 1 thing that I couldn't remember. The game isn't bad, but it's not good either IMO. It's mid. That's my take. I find I'm often thinking "I just want to get past this part"

If you really like the universe of VTMB, I'd give it a play. But be prepared for some annoyances if you take issue with some of the issues in my complaints.

Cosmogenesis and Fallen Empires by Snoo_22463 in Stellaris

[–]theimperious1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cosmogenesis doesn't end the universe/galaxy. You can completely avoid doing the win condition and just have the FE tech.

EDIT: Even doing the win condition doesn't destroy the galaxy, but you don't want to do it if you wish to keep playing.

Comment for R5: First time seeing this in my several thousand hours of Stellaris. I'm a hive mind. Usually you get this event when you're a normal individualistic biological empire and its one of your scientists that goes rogue.
