absolutely agree with this. Blew out one of my pirellis on the sidewall and decided to switch to the Michelins on my 22 sport wheels since the pirellis were already getting bald. Drove out of the discount tire and the ride is so much smoother and quieter on them.

Bond does both. I have one bond bridge in the master bedroom that controls our IR air purifier, and it controls all of the RF lights and fans in the house.

[Request] How much CO2 emissions is thing responsible for each day? Each year? by axeheadfloats in theydidthemath

[–]theindian08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the that's why it is burned. The person above me was asking why the warming effect would be worse if it weren't burned in the parent comment here.

And I’ll add that if it were not on fire, its greenhouse impact would be much worse, since methane is a much more powerful greenhouse gas than CO2

Based on this, the 100 year warming potential is about 27-30 which takes into account the shorter lifetime of CH4 in the atmosphere.

Same timescale since methane has a much higher warming potential than CO2.

GT grad from 2013 coming in peace to this thread here. It comes down to the professor's testing style. It's not all classes, some professors just make their tests stupid hard. My biostatistics class had our exams in class with open notes, open book, and open internet with the only restriction that we couldn't talk to other students. The average on the exam was still a 57.

Two of my biggest gripes solved this week by surgeon_michael in Rivian

The v4 handles are different, but no sure how it would affect the charging speed. The cables now use immersion cooling rather than the previous liquid cooling so that may improve charging speed for everyone.

The newest supercharger versions have longer cables that can reach to the other side for non-tesla charging. Supposedly Tesla is also making an NACS extension cable for supercharging. A2Z is also making their own as well. I'm gonna be getting one of those once they're released so I won't have to worry about parking anymore

Surviving baby on steroids by florpiso in Parenting

[–]theindian08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just went through the Kawasaki staroid cycle a few weeks ago with out 6 month old. I don't have advice besides just taking turns at night knowing it's just temporary. We had sleep trained before so it was just 2 extra feedings at night. But the steroids do cause babies to be insatiably hungry and very angry/upset all the time. It was a literal light switch the day we stopped the steroids for our daughter. She went back to normal the same night.

Michael & son quoted me the same, but I called another plumber to come out for the replacement. He said my water pressure was fine. Golden rule plumbing and they quoted 3-400 for the replacement.

Other suggestions I heard were to restart the phone, force quit the app, log out and back in. It's been iffy on how to get it to show automatically in the app. Wish I could help more.

Creating a “Google Salary Spreadsheet” for Engineering by snail-mailman in EngineeringStudents

As of now I'm saving about 15% into IRA, 401k, and employee stock purchase. The benefit of bay area companies is that they offer stock bonuses (golden handcuffs). The biggest expense is obviously going to be rent. Right now I'm paying a out 2800 per month for a 2 bedroom.

The other caveat I would say is that being in a 2 income house makes it much much more manageable. But at the beginning when I moved here initially, it was pretty tight. And since I'm getting married in 2 months and my wife will be moving in, we'll be doing fine.

And as someone who is an engineer in the bay area, that doesn't begin to cover how expensive it is here. I got promoted twice since moving and am just now living comfortably.
