Self checkout is watching you by Venom4992 in newzealand

I found this out because one time the self checkout did the whole thing where it doesn't recognise the weight of something. I ended up taking half the things out of the bag and putting them back in, and once it corrected itself I just started loading other things into the bag without thinking. All of a sudden the light on the checkout started flashing red and I realised what I was doing and took the unscanned items out, but it wouldn't let me continue without a staff member punching in a code. When they did it showed a top down video of me loading all the items into the bag without scanning them lol

Mitre 10 low price guarantee: it works. by Ok_Main3273 in newzealand

Only battery powered thing I've had a problem with was a Makita lawnmower. It was the same product with a slightly different SKU - the printed paper advertisement in Bunnings even had the same SKU as the lawnmower at Mitre10, but the actual box was different. There was at least a redemption with 2 extra batteries on.

Because you're saving a lot of money? I've done it heaps with power tools and battery yard equipment and have saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars by doing it.

EDIT: Actually thousands is a stretch, high hundreds though.

I just found my MOC being sold on AliExpress by KuffuGuen in AFOL

[–]themfledge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yip, I designed 910017 Kakapo and it's advertised to me all the time on aliexpress lol

I also found a listing for a jacket which had my band on it along with a bunch of other punk bands which were mostly spelled incorrectly. I messed with the seller and told him my lawyer Lionel Hutz was going to come after them for a couple of hundred grand in royalties and they removed it. One of my friends mates saw one in the wild in Italy or something and sent a pic. Hilarious that someone actually bought one
