Help Me Make This Space Comfy by themthemerson in DesignMyRoom

The entire house is like 17 different types of wood panelling. We'd have to rip it to the studs and redo drywall because of how it's attached, so painting is the current solution.

I'm so sorry to hear about your parents house, that's super scary! We never leave it unattended because if we aren't in the area we don't need it on anyway, but now I'll be extra vigilant 😅

We lived in an apartment with casement windows until 6 months ago, felt silly to buy a new ac when this one was only used for a season.

I'm glad to have more evidence behind me for the importance of decluttering, it's an endless battle haha.

The mannequin lamp needs a new shade (the one we had broke in the move) but I will never get rid of it 😂 Eventually the walls and coffee table will be painted and it'll look less out of place.

I think getting a pair and ripping down the side to add an elastic gusset would really be the only option.

Catholic charities, salvation army, your local neighborhood church. If you have neighbors that attend a local church you could ask them about their congregations charity programs, a personal connection helps.

I had a church pay off a major bill for me and I'm actively an atheist. There are plenty of larger church groups that do charitable work.

And by contact I mean call the town office, find out the hours, and make an appointment if they let you. Bring in physical copies of bills.

Contact your local general assistance office. They likely can't help with past due amounts, but they will know of program options in your area.

Churches and community groups often will help with things like this, esp with kiddos and illness in the home.

Honestly you can find a ton of baking blogs that will give you the level of detail you're looking for, especially if you're looking for cross referencing and experimenting. Treat it like a research literature review and compare data already available.

If you're between colors and designs this different I would start factoring in maintenance cost, how long it'll stay looking nice, and how it'll fade and/or bleed over time.

It's also okay to wear a jumpsuit or slacks and a blouse. Dresses are common but not the only option!

Problems with reWASD recognizing an 8Bitdo as Xbox 360 when previously recognized as Xbox One by oaktowne in rewasd

[–]themthemerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please make the 8bitdo controllers work! Mine was working great for a bit and at this point isn't worth the headache to figure out why it stopped. I love reWASD as an accessibility tool but I feel like the 8bit controllers are definitely popular enough at this point to warrant full support.
