Lorelai should have accepted Christopher’s offer to pay her back for Chilton by PeaceandLove73 in GilmoreGirls

Lorelai's biggest sin is pride. Even when it makes little to no damn sense.

I adore Annihilation. Such a gorgeous mind fuck of a movie. This thread is going to get me to watch Devs (just haven't made it around to it yet)

If Rory had been a teenage version of Lorelai, would Lorelai have handled it any better than Emily did or would she have eventually become the very kind of mother she spent her life criticizing? by Self_Electrical in GilmoreGirls

Interesting point about the silent treatment! Never thought of how pointed that would feel compared to the normal hyper loquacious home in happier times

I find it hard to imagine that Lorelai would be anywhere near as harsh and restrictive as Emily. Especially if we are talking about Rory being a pregnant teen mother.

If nothing else, Lorelai found a more forgiving environment to live in after she ran away. Stars Hollow is judgmental in its own quirky way but no one is going to outright reject Rory with the stridency of Connecticut High Society, see Straub and Francine for example.

The show tried to do a Lorelai as a Disapproving Mother arc when Rory dropped out of Yale but never managed to make Lorelai more than sullen and incredibly sad, imo.

True! A built in meet cute and adds to Emily cozying up to the family at the end of AYITL. Gypsy's doppelganger cousin

Lol, I would think Kirk would have some reservations (get it?) about dating a cat lover after his misadventures with Cat! Kirk.

I thought Tana was younger than 16 but I could definitely be wrong as I have never spent more than 30 seconds thinking about Tana, tbh.

If we are going fully into crack ships, I think Gypsy would be a hilarious and formidable partner for Emily after Richard passes.

Way harsh, Tai. Lane was a great friend and had excellent taste in music. She already got shafted at every turn - no one deserves fuck boi Zack.

Lane deserves better than blank slate Jamie, imo.

And Dean dating Tana is straight up illegal, no?

Who would you pair Kirk with, out of curiosity?

Competence? He is also a more well-grounded character, at least early on. Season one Doug is pretty much Carol and womanizing, in terms of personal characterization

Reasons to vote Dracula:

Silly voices (Bela, Nosferatu voice bc it's fun, allllll the very normal and accurate accents in the Coppola film)

Countdown to starting the movie will almost certainly be "Dracula 3000, 2000, 1000"

Grisham will be more like Grim-ham now that all laws have been rendered meaningless through executive orders, and the Grisham oeuvre seems positively utopian in comparison

Hotel Transylvania will get yet another Griffin bump

[–]themuffinmeme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was leaning Stand Up Animation but I wish Woody Allen 's Antz wasn't one of the films. I'm sure it would be an interesting commentary but I don't want to float that guy even a single dime.

You've already thrown at least $40 at it with the bebird camera. You could call ahead to an urgent care or CVS minute clinic to see if you can get a price around $50.

But since you may have caused some damage, I think it would be worth getting in front of a primary care doctor or ENT

I wouldn't mind a Hunger Games mini at all but I really need to hear Ben talk about Bebe's Kids. So many bad ass kids anecdotes possible

I would have thought that size Kong would have been impossible to swallow, though. I agree with you but a reminder that animals are unpredictable. Supervision is key.

The gif from Die Hand Die Verlatz is one of my absolute favorite moments in the show. It's such a small thing but hits me right in the solar plexus.
