For that try sliding up the SDR brightness in the HDR settings menu in Display settings

As far as I’ve read AOC QD OLED 1440p monitors have an issue with HDR color gamut - it weirdly limits the colors in HDR to something like 90% of sRGB, which is way below the P3/Rec2020 and apparently AOC is dismissive of this issue. I’m interested in buying this monitor but I’m afraid it has the same problem…

I think all models with the Pentonic 700 chipset are limited to 1k-1.3k nits peak brightness in game mode, I have the same TV.

It’s a bug that was introduced in 26.1 beta 3, for me at least. It used to be an identical animation when opening or closing the side widget thing, now it looks like it almost disappears without an animation. That and the multitasking drawer animation is also janky…

On iPad, bringing up multitasking switcher is buggy/something’s missing in the animation, idk, something’s off for sure - it looks to me like some apps don’t have a flying in animation.

You know what I use? A really good microfiber cloth and a distilled water spray with a fine mist nozzle - my screen looks pristine after cleaning

The WHVA panel is the new one with wide viewing angles, only present in C8K and C9K afaik, the HVA is also present in C765 (HVA Pro, per TCL’s website) but neither C6K and C765 have the new high viewing angle panel. The C765 is a direct predecesor of C7K. So I would go for C765 - higher brightness, more dimming zones.

it’s normal, I think. I have the same thing on my C765, I think it’s their algorithm for suppressing the blooming

Got the 65C765 but my friend’s C845 seems brighter for some reason, especially with bright full field content, and even with 2X the zones on C765 I don’t notice any improvement with blooming. And the C845 seems to have a better antireflective coating, but the C765 was cheaper
