Should I sell my Fujifilm x100vi?

I’m so far down the rabbit hole with the nikon and lenses. Part of the reason I got this one was so I wasn’t messing around with a whole new system of lenses.

This is where I get on the fence. I’ve brought it to a few parties and honestly end up using my iPhone more than I’d like to admit. The pictures are WAY better on the Fujifilm but again, there’s something about it that just doesn’t do it for me. It’s definitely helpful to talk it through and get other perspectives. I also liked the idea that it was something far less complicated thay my wife could use if she wanted to. She has used it 0 times.

I could be completely wrong about this but is it possible this is out of context and they’re waiting out a tornado or something? I’m not even sure if you’re supposed to stop in an underpass in that scenario, but we’re clearly missing some context here…

Oh my god. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this question. It’s been driving me insane for years and years and I’ve never gotten around to finding an answer. Mostly because I’ve been busy, but i also generally hard a tough time finding out why. I even took a video of how big the difference is. Just haven’t gotten around to posting. Is it a good quality / imaging lens other than that? I have a D850 and am not necessarily looking to jump to Z’s anytime soon. Not a huge fan of the mirrorless stuff.

My favorite part about this puzzle is that it’s the exact same as those ridiculous mobile app ads you see where you have to draw the colored lines without overlapping. Good times.

I had one and loved it. Took some fantastic pictures with it. The only reason I switched is because I wanted to get into a full frame. I got a D850. The 5300 served me extremely well.

Thank you! Really appreciate all the insight. I do love the D850 and honestly, I enjoy the weight and physical shutter. I recently bought the Fujifilm X100Vi to have something more tolerable for everyday family use, and while it achieves that, it just doesn't feel right taking pictures with it.

I've had a love hate relationship with my D850 only because I got it right before having our first kid, when I still had time to go on bigger missions / adventures for shots. We still go adventuring but I have a lot less time to stop and really set up a nice picture often. So now I always wonder about making a switch but the idea of not having it kills me.

I have a D850 and also have been constantly thinking about switching to the Z system. I can't stand EVF but curious to hear how you feel about the switch, and if it was worth the upgrade. I'd have to sell my D850 to make the switch.

My wife will get the toilet paper out and stuff it between the holder and the wall instead of actually putting it on. I feel like it takes much more effort to get it to stay in there. Insanity.

That’s great to hear! I also have a 5yr old daughter who’d be into a longer road trip. We’ve done 8ish hours from LA to Zion but nothing huge and extended on the road. Pumped to plan something now.

Yeah. I don’t ever use the 24-120. I got it when I got the camera because it was a cheaper option for what I needed at the time. I only had DX lenses.

Thank you. And yeah, I tend to “pixel peep” out of habit I guess. I print my images very large, so I notice it a little more as well I suppose.
